Klaxons began to blare as the satellite linked monitors began to register massive readings of movement. Radios screamed to life as sentries began to report movement on the plain that was behind the mouth of the hive. Scrambling the pilots to their Dropships with orders to get an aerial view of the surrounding area and to try and pinpoint the disturbance.

â€œBase, this Captain Hernandez, we have I spotted at least a battalions worth of the secondary Xenomorphs advancing on our location.â€

Simovic quickly suited up in his armour and grabbed his Flame Unit. "Maybe a tactical retreat would be a good idea under the circumstances?"

Simovic moved to the North side of the firebase and lined up his grenades on the wall, ready to start chucking them as soon as the Xenomorphs were in range.

"Roberts move up to my left flank and get that Smartgun bearing on them, overide the fire control if need be and take controlled bursts at the closest Xeno's to our wall. Jonsson you take my right flank, use your grenade launcher to take out groups of Aliens then concentrate on the nearest using controlled bursts".

Dugan realised without evac their chances were slim, but he was going to make sure he'd take a few of them with him if it was there last stand.

Standing up Jacob readied his pulse rifle, eyed the people in the room and said simply

"I want no blindspots in the perimeter of this base, any underground entrances I want guarded by sentry guns, any base entrances are to be fortified and proximity grenades wouldn't be a bad idea if we have any, if we can spare the sentry guns those too. Floodlights, if there are any I want to be rove until they've spotted xenos and then focus on them and concentrate fire on what we can see until they are destroyed. One squad per line of wall, I don't care who goes where as long as it's a seperate squad per wall. Any APCs we could put outside as forward firebases would be good, but be ready to let them go, hopefully the xenos will attack them after they've been deserted - Wrench maybe rig them with explosives so they make expensive mines...Sorry to but in LT...."

"Yes Sir, take some spare grenades Sir." Eric said as he pulled his 3 grenades out of his pocket and held them out towards his Squadleader before the xenomorphs got there.

Then he tore off his dust goggles and put them in his Utility Holdall, then set it on the ground next to him.

"That's not my call, I'd ask the LT or the general...It'd be nice - but I have a feeling we're dead men either way..." Jacob's voice trailed off, defeatist talk was never welcome. He knew it, but the feeling was too strong...

His smartgun ready Dirk ran over to Con" Where is our wall Con? Where do you want me?" Drik said takeing one last drag off his cigaret Dirk flicked it away. He waited for Con to tell him his station. It was time to fight. Dirk hoped he was ready.

Wrathboyne takes up postion near is fellow squad members and prepares to lay down fire to support the heavies.

Wrath exclaims, "Out of the fire and into the frying pan" With a crooked smile he mumbles, "This promotion of mine looks to be short lived."

Fox hearing the call for enemy movement, he checked all his clips and ammo making sure all guns we ready. Running over to Huey position at the barracks.Starting to get anxious on fighting his first enemy in his active duty, but at the same time a little scared from what the critters can do.

Huey were do you need me? Im locked a loaded here awaiting orders.

Huey put on his gear, strapping a bandolier across his chest and stuffed magazines into M3 carry-all, along with some extra batteries for his PRC-252 radio. His guess was he'd be needing it. It took some claymores and somr rockets for the M5.

"Fox, grab an M5 RPG and some more ammo" He told him.

Huey got his weapons checked and got up to Khan. He heard them discussing air coverage. He didn't want to take on a battlalion of bugs without support. "LT I can coordinate air-strikes and APC fire, sir" Siad Huey holding up

"Tarik, Dugan's on the North Wall. Gunny can 2nd Squad take one of the APC's to the East gate? We can use some of 80mm Mortars and tear those bugs shit up"

Jonsson moved to do just that. He was silent, but confirmed the command with a brisk nod. His eyes scanned the tunnel ahead, looking for any sign of movement.

"Honeysett, I'll take my squad around and look for any breaches and make sure they get sealed. We can also act as a roving squad, you know offer support where its needed"
