And before y'all say it, yes, I am fully aware that this is very likely nothing but an eye candy wrapper for a phisher who's very likely male and who just wants to scam us out of our identities.

Maybe it’s a xenomorph trying to catch us off guard! Either way I’ve got 95 rounds of explosive-tip caseless for them. Also if they’re looking for “normal guys” I think they came to the wrong forum...

But seriously, this is one downside of having the email restored. I will be troubleshooting to try and deal with this problem. I’m probably going to delete anyone with an email address through “yandex” whatever that is, because they keep popping up and never contribute.

Well, we all know what to do with Xenomorphs, right?

And normal is sometimes overrated.

Also, Yandex is a play on the English spelling of Index. The letter "I" in English is also the word "I" in English and the Russian word for the word "I" is "Ya".

So:
In English: Index = I - ndex
In Russian: Yandex = Ya - ndex

It's a straight-up letter substitution that is also like a pun ... but you have to understand "Ya" = "I" in Russian to get the joke.


(Which is why I laughed my ass off at the Muppet Movie trailer a few years ago when they dubbed Beaker's voice with a throaty baritone saying "Menya! Menya!", because the Russian "Menya" = the English "Me". I was the only one in the audience that night who got it.)
