Re: The Wiki
Hey, don't get me wrong, I think Morse is a great character. He's interesting but certainly has some flaws. I like the unique or flawed characters but I appreciate the bland characters just as much because in real life not everyone is eccentric.

Re: The Wiki
A friend of mine (who some people here would know from another site) and I developed a theory when developing a character that it should have far more flaws then it does talents. Because in our opinion a character is defined by his flaws.
So really, I like to think I'm here to add color, not to be the main character.

Re: The Wiki
I agree with all of that. Reminds me of a site I used to play on. We were all playing as ogres, half-ogres, and ogrillons. I played an extremely extremely slow ogrillon named Trout Baldhair. All of the others were big strong ogres with long swords and red skin and I was a short chubby pasty mentally-disabled ogrillon. Trout would sputter out gibberish and collect the fingers of enemies in his pockets, but the pockets had holes so they would all eventually fall out. Certainly not main character material, but in the end everyone agreed that Trout was by far the best thing about the site.
Trip down memory lane haha. I think Dirk had a character there. Honestly Morse might have too.

Re: The Wiki
Someone has been busy.
Regarding oddball characters and the like I tend to play straight faced due to my relative lack of experience. However situations often change a char in interesting ways. I was playing a well to do Doctor in a Steampunk RPG who's only quirk was despite having the funds to have whatever weapons he needed would avoid killing at all costs to the point of never attacking unless he panicked. However by the second story arch he had got a tattoo, become a drug addict and had ran off with the (literal) fairies. All of which had very little to do with me the player, just a rather skilful GM.

Re: The Wiki
I've basically been working on the wiki in every moment I'm not asleep or at work. Some might call me obsessive...Whisky wrote:Someone has been busy.![]()
I hope everyone can get on and fill in a little bit about their character at least. I can clean up anything as long as I have the content so you don't have to worry about formatting.
Also the picture I put for Roberts is the one I want as my new avatar for some time now...

Re: The Wiki
We should have a USCM Memorial Wall. Listing the deceased and those who have simply moved on.

Re: The Wiki
Similar to a memorial wall, if you go to the pages "KIA" and "WIA" on the wiki, you will find a list of marines who were killied in action or wounded in action. These lists obviously are not complete. Feel free to add more to the list. Don't worry too much about format, I can fix the format for you.
I've also written quite a bit about the Draconis Major Campaign, me and Dirk's first campaign. I hope you guys appreciate all the work I'm putting into this!

Aaaaaaaaaaaaand done, with the Morse file that is. I'm actually rather proud of it. Soon I'll get to work on other portions, but you know what they say, charity starts at home.

Re: The Wiki
Morse, thanks for doing your character! I just don't feel qualified to write about your characters because I don't know enough about them. As I go through campaigns I might add small sections to characters.

Re: The Wiki
I wanna try to help write this stuff, but I'm having trouble remembering and putting into words some of the things that happened. Though I'd probably go in reverse order from most recent to earliest.

Re: The Wiki
For each paragraph written I probably read hours of old campaigns. It takes a lot of time. Which is why I wouldn't expect anyone to do that. The only reason I have is because I wanted to.
