"Ya'll outside! Now! Move!"

Morse began hustling the civilians out of the saloon-style doors of the bar while, at the same time, signalling to Kelly and McKenna to take positions covering the door to the Back-stage area. As soon as he had all the civvies lined up with their legs spread and their hands against the wall he handed them off to Paulson, who had just arrived from the side alley with another prisoner, and headed back inside to back up his men.

Harper and Henniger remained huddled over the glowing screen of the UAV's Remote Control Console, watching was happening in the room via infrared. Syke's voice reached them over his open mic.
"Listen, you guys are Marines and so I know you aren't dumb enough to point those guns at my platoon. But seriously, you can trust our medics. McKenna and Davros are good guys, though Davros might talk your ear off. We've fought the xenomorphs more times than I can count. We all fucking hate them and if Wey-Yu did something to you guys, we are siding with you. Your buddy isn't going to make it to a medic you can trust, so you need to trust me."
He seemed to be doing a good job of de-escalating the situation but if even on of the fugitive marines in there was infected with a xenomorph then the clock was ticking.

At the rear entrance, 2nd squad were checking out the numerous closed doors around them. Hall had just finished clearing the office as Davros moved to check on the figure in the toilet stall. From several paces away the medic could tell something was badly wrong. He could smell the familiar odor of blood and evacuated bowels. A pace closer and it was clear the figure was a woman, and she was dead. Her blood coated the floor and back wall of the stall and filled the toilet bowl.
Carefully, Davros turned the body over. The woman was wearing the uniform of a marine, sans armour and unit patches. Her face was frozen in a rictus of agony and horror and a fist-sized hole gaped in her chest, the ribs splayed outwards as if something had punched its way out from inside!

Paulson now had the proverbial bucket load of prisoners of which all of them where more than likely innocent civilians caught up in a complete FUBAR of a situation.

"ladies, gentlemen, stay calm and still and all this will be over very soon"he reassured them in a calm gentle manner, all the time trying to keep his weapon readied in case he had misread the situation and one was about to go all gung-ho on him.

Paulson listened to the radio chatter whilst watching his charges keeping up to date on what was going on.

Corporal Clint McKenna was glad Morse decided to ditch the remaining occupants of the bar given the unfolding situation in the backroom. He went to the bar and swapped out the cartridge of less lethal rounds including the one chambered for slugs given that at least one was armed with a pulse rifle.

He slowly inserted the lethal rounds and racked one as quietly as he could while keeping an eye on the beaded curtain. After the trusty shotgun was ready and he had steadied himself for a shot if they emerged from the curtain, he nodded to Morse and Kelly indicating he was ready if either needed to swap weapons or rounds.

<This is assuming Davros let us know what he's found.....if not, I'll change this post>

Coming quickly over upon hearing the Corpsman's call and when she saw the corpse with the massive exit-wound in the chest, she instantly knew what had happened. "OH F#$K!" she yelled out to nobody in particular.....

"She quickly turned to the marines all around her; "We might have a chest burster in here people, stay sharp and switch to lethal ammo if you got it. Heads on de swivel and remember to look at the ceilings, walls, floor...any'ting.......look sharp!" As she was talking, she hit the safety on her shotgun, slung it and quickly got her Pulse Rifle in to her hands and flicked the safety off.

Keeping a sharp eye out and around and above and down, she got on the platoon wide comm freq. "Hall here, we got a corpse with a chest burster wound in de chest.....repeat, possible chest-burster in de place. What's de call Top?", she asked Sykes.

<This assumes the post about Hall's response isn't modified>

After hearing Hall's order, Sokolova quickly removes the shells of the current rounds she had just previously inserted into the shotgun, racking it one last time to make sure every last non-lethal round was out, then searches her bags for any lethal slugs she has on hand, getting the gun loaded once again and cocking the shotgun once more, while trying to keep the sound down, not knowing where the hostage situation is. It's at that moment that she gets the bright idea from having watched Paulson all the time on some of their previous missions together.

"Hey Sergeant! If we got anyone with motion tracker, we need them running sweep now, da? Niet take chances," Sokolova quickly addresses Hall. "May be good to get someone to go get one!"

While not missing a moment, she quickly searches each of the areas nearby where they are, including the door she just came through, looking for any signs of disturbances in the area that might lead to them finding the possible 'escapee' to neutralize the target.

Paulson heard the comment about the motion tracker and quickly moved his into reading position,

"little noise here gentlemen, ladies, nothing to worry about." he reassured his wards. he ran a couple of sweeps, watching the screen and his charges best that he could.

his sweep came back clear only civilians and military personal in the immediate area, "clear out here but not getting good reading from inside!" Paulson reported.

Sykes almost couldn't believe that his negotiation had worked. A few years ago he might have said the wrong thing in a similar situation and had his head ventilated, but now with the training and experience he had known exactly what to say. And truthfully, he would have said anything to deescalate the situation, even if it just meant luring the threats into friendly crosshairs. But that didn't mean everything he said was untrue. He wanted to do right by his fellow Marines, even if it meant going against some sketchy Company objective.

"Devil Dawgs, stand down. We have fellow Marines here and we are going to help them in good faith. Davros, Kelly, I need you both up here to treat them immediately. I need someone else to escort two civilians to safety. We will not disarm these Marines, they are friendly." True, they were friendly for the moment, but that could change quickly.

Hearing Hall's communication, he decided that now wasn't the best time to tell them their friend was dead. He couldn't hide it for long but for the moment he wanted to deescalate the situation and get the civilians clear. "Copy, Sergeant Hall."

Henniger sighed in relief. His squad was busy gaffing detainees, and Sykes had successfully deescalated things inside. He looked sidelong at the lieutenant.

"Return to perimeter orbit?"
