Morse, Paulson, and McKenna led the way aft through an open doorway. Davros was trailing at the back with his survivor. The room they entered was dark and had a higher ceiling then the rest of the deck. Their flashlights illuminated walls and ceiling of unpainted metal. A strange clanging noise was coming through their audio sensors as they spread out. Paulson stumbled as his foot struck something soft. Looking down, he saw the blank stare of dead eyes. The man was covered in blood but from his uniform he appeared to be a member of the crew. He was riddled with small bullet holes.

(Awareness check: All passed)

All at once, the Marines of First Squad saw the source of the clanging sound. In one corner of the room sat a series of metal tanks that had pipes running in different directions before they disappeared into the walls and ceiling. Directly in front of these tanks stood a man with a long and jagged piece of metal. He was striking the tanks repeatedly and a luminescent blue-green liquid was dripping from the holes he had already made. It was starting to pool on the ground and under his feet.

Suddenly the man turned as he saw their flashlights. He was panting and soaked in sweat, as well as flecked with the glowing green substance. “You! Who are you?!” he shouted angrily. The flashlights panned over his gray uniform and saw the word SECURITY stenciled across his shirt and ballcap. “You see him, huh?” He pointed at the corpse. “He tried to stop me, ha ha HA! Nice try, buddy. Nice try. I know what you’re here for. I know why you’ve come!” His eyes shot manically from one pressure suit to the next. “Maybe you’re here to stop me. I heard the gunshots!” His hand went to the grip of an SMG that hung on his belt. “This ship is cursed… It can’t reach the dock, no! We have to destroy it! Are you going to stop me?!”

paulson recovered from his little stumble and listened to the man speaking , slowly paulson pulled his weapon to a ready position. Paulson quickly surveyed the tanks to see if their contents could be rapidly identified and if they were dangerous.

Morse was alerted when they found the body. The bullets that riddled him were a give away of the serious struggle that had occurred on the vessel prior to their arrival. But without any further evidence of the situation, it was just leaving Morse feeling a bit uneasy. There was no real way to what had happened or what was going on, but he was certainly ready for whatever inevitability. He did have concerns about their escape plan should it go south, given that they were so far under water. That would be an issue for later if it came to that.

As they realized the source of the banging was the security operative, trying to carve his way into a tank of Morse couldn't guess what, Morse's sense of calm was severely damaged.

"Sykes, this is Morse. I got one survivor up here. Armed and dangerous." Morse called it exactly how he saw it over the radio. Whether this man could be saved or calmed down was entirely beside the point. He was actively trying to sabotage the ship and had just admitted to killing a fellow crewmen.

"Paulson left, McKenna right." Morse directed having them fan out slightly. "Davros stay where you are!" Morse wanted that civilian far back. He didn't care if the civilian knew the man or not, with the SMG in his hand he was dangerous.

"Sir, we're the Colonial Marine Corps!" Morse barked at the man. "Drop your weapons, throw up yer' hands, n' step away from the tanks!" Morse directed. But he was not in the mood for games with this mad man that could attempt to test the armor that the marines wore. "You have ten seconds or we will fire!" Morse roared. "Ten!" Morse yelled. "Nine!" Morse continued the count, and he was absolutely serious from the moment he took his weapon off safe that he would kill him if it meant keeping those around him safe.

Davros was shocked for an instant, but quickly got his brain and body moving as fast as he could inside the clunky diving suit. He grabbed the girl and made for the closest cover, shoving her down behind a mass of tubes running into the walls. "When the shit hits the fan I want you to keep your head down and make yourself as flat as possible." He carefully poked his head out from behind the tubes and clicked the safety off his SMG. He could hear Morse counting down "Eight, Seven, Six..." He mentally prepared himself the the rain of death that was about to happen in the room in front of him. He made sure to put his head on a swivel, he was sure his fellow marines would make sure the insides of the hostile would get to see the light of day, but you never know who else might be lurking around in with this many potential hiding spaces.

He mumbled quietly into the mic"Let's do our best not to hit any of those tanks, I don't even wanna think about what we would have to treat each other for."

Clint felt a feeling of claustrophobia rising again. Something wasn't quite right, he wasn't sure what was off. Maybe it was the depth or the suits or the ship. "Anyone else feeling a bit off in here?
I don't mean the way the floor's at an angle, but something off about us or this place."

Just then Paulson came upon a corpse and the metallic banging started up. The man was obviously out of it and Clint wondered if there was something in the air like a disease that was causing the crew to act aggressively towards one another. The idea of towing the female around with nothing other than a zip tie was unsettling.

As Morse gave instructions to fan out Clint shifted out to the right and swapped to the shotgun. Morse's ultimatum was about to time out and it didn't seem the man was going to comply. He readied his weapon and prepared to fire on the man if it came to that.
