Mac took point for 3rd squad as they began their push on the left flank and switched his scope back to Thermal IR and swept the jungle ahead of them for hostiles while he made measured steps and used the foliage and natural cover to keep his push quiet and stealthy.

The affects of the injections had taken over Morse for the most part. While he could still feel a great deal of pressure on his leg, which he knew was just muted pain, it was still much better then it had been moments before. The side affect was that his entire body had a tingling feeling that run up and down him, switching from warm to hot. It was making moving anything else difficult, only because of how strange it felt.

For the last few minutes his only real reaction to what had happened had been hard, sustained breathing. He was not happy with their situation of course, but he was more upset with his in ability to do anything. There was a fight that was about to happen that he would not be a part of, one that he would probably be the most effective for.

But given their confusion of the moment, Morse thought he’d try a different strategy to start forcing real action.

”I’m ready to go.” Morse said sternly. ”Yeah, I’m ready to go. Who wants to help my ass outa here?”

It was an open question to virtually anyone, as he had never shut his mic off. But he didn’t want to remain forced to sit there.
