Unidentified Asteroid, near space trade lane, In vicinity of communications relay
Mission timer: 02.08.33
Obi fiddled around with the system. It was icon based and after som trial and error Obi saw that it was quite ingenously designed. Obi swept his hand over the control and after a few minutes, and step backs, he managed to actually navigate himself to some sort of door control. It became eerily evident that whoever designed this had a major part in how human designs had evolved as well - some icons were extremely similar to what you would see in a standard system on earth or on one of the colonies.
The doors hissed open on the far side of the control room and after a few second it actually seemed like no aliens were going to rush in after all. Lt Ericson waved the marines forward with her gloved hand.
The Marines exfiled out of the room. This corridor similar to the one they entered through, although there were some pipes and wierd looking portrusions in the roof. The corridor sloped steadily upwards as it became more and more cramped.
Lt Ericons felt almost like she was going to faint. They had been at this for less than two hours but it had been two hell hours. On top of that they had stumbled upon something incredibly important, but that felt almost second hand to getting out alive.
The fact that the shaft was sloping upwards were a positive, up meant towards the surface and that could not be bad.
Lt Ericson halted for a few seconds urging the marines to pass her by. She slapped them on the back and encouraged them - she hoped she didn't sound too exhausted.
