I guess since I'm in the back of 2nd(?) there isn't much I can do without putting rounds through you guys so I'll jump on over I guess.

Hearing the Lieutenant give a scream, Joe did the instinctive thing and turned to see her disappear over the edge only to hear her over the comms after a quick grunt:
"Oh shit! Fuck! Help me! Get me the hell out of here!"
"Oh shit! El-tee!" Joe kicked off of his kneeling stance to the side and ran over to where she had went over, mindful of his squadmates who were covering the movement of the other Marines moving away and towards the door as the Marines with flame units moved into firing position. He quickly slung his M41 over his shoulder so it hung over the back of his right thigh.

Joe took a deep breath as sweat beaded off his face, not from exertion but from anxiety and kneeling, he peered over the edge, ready to grab the Lieutenant if she really was still there.

"H-hey! I might need help here!" he called out.

I hope the gravity here isn't *that* strong...

"Eichler; hang on man!" Rascal shouted, rushing over to his squadmate's side. His heart dropped with the el-tee, almost sure that they had lost their commander there. His mind whirled in panic, wondering just what the hell they were supposed to do. 2nd's team leader was unresponsive, pulse fire rattled constantly over the comms, and who knew how many nightmare bugs were heading their way. Rascal took a quick breath, then chose to focus on the rescue attempt on the Lieutenant. "Yo, Joe, i got your back!", he muttered to the marine, grabbing ahold of his back. He keyed his comm again, this time over the general frequency, "Anyone else got a free hand? We could use some freakin back up over here!"

Her heart hammering in her chest; Samantha led the way across the bridge and then a few moments later; the world went to hell in a hand-basket and suddenly she was strangely calm...

Looking behind her; she saw the two marines get dropped by the Aliens; saw the El Tee freeze up and then start to give orders and heard Quinn's orders as well. Nodding her head to the Corporal, Sam moved with her weapon at the ready and was on the bridge when she saw that the door that was now behind her was beginning to open and that the Lieutenant had gone over the side and now had a marine trying to help her up. O'brien was closer to her than she was, so Samantha looked around for any good targets*...

*If there are any Aliens left that Samantha has a decent shot at without too much risk of hitting an ally; she will aim carefully and fire a short burst...

The marines began to pull back across the bridge, Obi following close behind the LT as instructed.
"Watch it the door is opening!"
Obi swore to himself as the LT screamed over the comm. This is turning into a right royal cluster. He thought as he saw an alien tumble over the side. Turning around Obi looked back over the bridge to see if it was all clear. A scream over the comm sent him whirling around to see the LT disappearing over the side.

LT! Fuck! Obi thought as ran foward, slinging his Pulse Rifle Obi dropped to his belly as he slid over towards the edge, hand out as the LT was screaming for help over the comm.

"LT can you reach my hand?" Obi called out as he stretched out, in danger of losing balance himself.

<tag LT>

"Someone hang onto me for fuck sakes!" Obi called out as he tried to shimmy forward those extra few centimetres....

Dirk watched as his rounds missed the creature, impacting harmlessly on the bridge. Slow down Marine, hit your target his mind screamed like a drill instructor. Before he could line up for another shot he saw Duncan's rounds slam into the thing sending it off the bridge into the dark nothingness that lay beneath.

Nick wrote: "Oh shit! Fuck! Help me! Get me the hell out of here!" she shouted not worried about hiding her panic anymore.
<actions>
Dirk heard the LT say as she went over the side. He was about to make a move to grab her, but Joe, followed closely by Rascal had her. "Rascal, Joe get the LT up and over the bridge. Fall back Marines"

<Tag Joe and Rascal>

"Duncan, fall back across the bridge. Secure the area and get ready. Go" Dirk shouted to the last standing man in his squad.

<Tag Duncan>

Running across the bridge Dirk saw that this could go from a tactical retreat to get some room to a rout that could kill more Marines very quickly. He wasn't about to let that happen if he could help it. Reaching the other side Dirk could hear his breathing and heartbeat thunder in his ears as his body dumped adrenalin in his bloodstream making him almost excited. The only part that he dreaded in the small part of his mind that wasn't running through tactics was after the action, that's when the fear came. After everything was over and there was nothing left to fight.

"Second squad fall back across the bridge. when you get across cover us as we come across. Make sure you watch your backs, this seems like a trap and there might be no safe direction. First squad fall back to the bridge and hold the line. We have to give them a few seconds so they can cross and cover us. Lets go Marines." Dirk shouted over the comm
<TAg First and second squad>

Dirk set up near the bridge, but not close enough to be grabbed by something coming from what was underneath. He watched as the Marines moved and the door opened, ready to fire.

"Let's give em something to think about if they come at us Quinn" Dirk said

Quinn heard the Lieutenant go over the edge, and sucked in a breath when she went over the side. Then her voice exploded on the comms, and the man looked over the side to see her dangling by her life support module.

"Obi, pull off your tac-webbing and use it as a rope!" he barked, backing up to stand next to Samantha, his pulse rifle trained on the door.

<tag Obi>

He heard Dirk's voice over the comms, addressing him and he grinned evilly when he heard.

"Just one sec sarge, grabbing the butterbars. Requesting some cover fire if things get hectic."

As the creature flailed and slipped over the bridge, Duncan immediately checked for any more signs of the creatures.

<Awareness, Scouting>

He saw the CO go over the edge, but several marines had grabbed her and were pulling her up. Sgt. Pitt ordered him to fall back across the bridge and provide cover. He was uncertain if he should grab Carter's body as well. Fuck it, he thought to himself as he slung his rifle over his shoulder and grabbed Carter's harness. He than made his way back to their side of the bridge, dragging Carter. Rather do some unnecessary dragging than have to go back out there to get him.

<Roll Strength?>

Once he was off the bridge he took out his rifle and began looking for any more of the monsters, both in the bridge chamber, and the hallway.

Joe was thankful for the assistance from the two other Marines and after they'd managed to get their officer back onto the bridge Joe attempted to check her out.

"Lieutenant. Can you hear me? Anything broken?" he asked while checking the integrity of her suit. With help he stood her up when he heard his comm crackle again,

"Thanks Corporal!" he said turning to Obi.

"Rascal, lets drag her out of here!" Joe said tossing one of the Lieutenant's arms over his shoulder and grabbing his rifle with his free hand in case he had to engage anything. They needed to get back across the bridge so they could get into positions to cover the others.

"Go on ahead Joe; Ill cover you!"Rascal grunted, backpedalling as he took aim towards the end of the bridge. This was just his luck- first op out and it turns into a clusterfuck. He was vaguely aware of Pitt's orders, choosing to go with what he could remember the marine saying. He kept his rifle up, eyes tracking the motions of his squadmates, not wanting to make any mistakes due to the clumsiness of the suit's gloves."Give me an ok when you're clear with the el-tee Joe!" he addressed Eichler, tossing a quick glance back his way before returning to the bridge.

"Thanks Corporal!" he said turning to Obi.
"Your welcome marine. Now lets get the fuck out of here" Obi said warily as he dragged himself to his feet and unslinging his rifle.

"Quinn, we got the LT up, shes is a little bruised and shaken up but shes ok." Obi Said into his comm as he moved back wards across the bridge, finger on the trigger, searching for a target to appear. Come on you bastards.....

"Copy Obi, fall back to the beginning of the bridge!" Quinn said quickly, tapping Samantha on the shoulder indicating that he was moving and she should do the same. He moved back at a quick pace, still facing the door with his rifle raised. "First, hustle back, then kneel as a firing line in front of Third. Aim at the door, short, controlled bursts at anything that isn't human."

<tag First Squad>

"Sarge, el-tee is safe and being escorted back. Moving now." he radioed.

Back on his feet Obi provided cover as Joe extracted the LT to the safety net of the rest of the platoon. Pulse racing Obis' eye's and rifle moved as one in a continuous motion, constanly scanning, just waiting for an alien to materialise out of the darkness. Moving backwards slowly, Obi was afraid to turn his back, not willing to be plucked off the bridge by those lightening fast things. His headset came alive with his squadmates voice.
"Copy Obi, fall back to the beginning of the bridge!" Quinn said quickly,
Keying his comm as he turned around Obi responded. "Roger, on my way." Moving quickly, Obi lengthed his stride to cover the distance to where Third Sqd was forming a defensive line. Quinns voice spoke quickly again through his headset.
"First, hustle back, then kneel as a firing line in front of Third. Aim at the door, short, controlled bursts at anything that isn't human."
Good old Quinn, solid man to have by yourside. Obi thought as be the platoons medic provided clear, concise commands to the Squad. Quickening his pace to cover the last few metres of distance Obi slid to a stop and took a knee beside Sam and gave her a silly grin as settled into position. Raising his rife up into his shoulder ready to fire, Obi spoke into his headset as he looked down his sights back across the bridge.

"Range to contact anyone?"

"Checking" responded Red as he looked down at the motion detector.
