XP/Learning Rolls and what-not from the last mission...

Post by maxvale76 » Wed Aug 25, 2010 9:07 pm

Okay; so I've gone back over the last mission and figured that all of you (except Honeysett and Dunn) qualify for a chance to improve ONE of the following skills of your choice:

Gun Combat (due to all the shooting and what-not...duh! :) )

Awareness (due to the constant staying on alert in a night-time, burnt out city operation)

and for some of you:

Special Weapons (the Grenade Launcher)

Let me know which one you'd like me to make the roll for; I'll do so and let you know if you advance to the next skill level.

*NOTE FOR MORSE: Instead of making a roll to improve a Skill; you will have been put on a special, harsh regimen of Workouts, high-protein diets and quite possibly some HGH in the six weeks between the last mission and this current one...the net result is that your new Strength Stat is 10; basically, this is a one time thing as I can't really see a Character with as low a Strength of yours really being able to make it as even a Rifleman; let alone a Gunner carrying a heavier weapon...

Put mine down for Awareness. One must see the enemy in order to shoot at them.

I always thought it was part of my charm. Of course I'm lugging around all manner of shit I'm barely qualified for, M41A-E2, and the K52 Medkit. Ironic since my main strength in is in infiltration. And I just don't remember how I wound up doing all those things.

Easy. You tried to diversify, which really doesn't work to well, since it's really hard to be a medic AND a support gunner.

Okay; so far I've only heard from 2 of you as to what skills you'd like me to roll to see if you improved:

Quinn: sorry, you didn't make your Learning Roll to increase your Awareness to Expert Level

Obi: you DID pass your Learning Roll and your Awareness skill is now "PROFICENT"

Everybody Else: Please let me know if there's a Skill that you utilized last mission (Gun Combat, Awareness, Sepcial Weapons are the most likely canidates) that you'd like me to see if you increase in ability.

Also; due to a huge dearth in Motion Tracker and Welder Skills; the following people may choose to gain one or the other of these Skills at Novice Level for free:

Dirk Pitt
Sam Dunn
Billy Lonebear
Allan Morse
Alan Shepard
Casey Valentine

Seeing as you so kindly hooked me up with a Welder Max, I'll go for Welding for 100. :D.. As for the other skill, I'm gonna go with Awareness also.

So lets see if the jump to Awareness goes and the Novice welding.

Casey: Sorry; no dice on improving Awareness to Proficient; but you now have Welder at Novice....yay for you! :)

Yeah; I had to sort of throw out the welders and Motion Trackers to different people; or otherwise a handfull of people (Simovic, Obi, Quinn and Honeysett) would be carrying EVERYTHING! Of course, the fact that these 4 are among the longest serving vets of the site I'm sure has SOMETHING to do with it.... :)

I'm feeling up for something useless. Give me novice with the motion tracker, a skill I will never use.

An M-41 with a heartbeat sensor/motion tracker. That so needs to be included in the next Call of Duty Modern Warfare game.

*Dreamy eyes.* I always wanted to take shop class. *Multiplex of eye lash flutters to complete the theatrics.*
