Morse's face lit up a bit more then usual when the target hit spun and hit the ground. He was surprised he'd hit the target, but then that was why he always fired multiple rounds. The targets hitting the ground wasn't much of a success since they had only just started, but it was at least a quick one, hell the guy might even still be alive and dying on the floor.

"Uhhhhhhhhh Yeaaaaaah!" Morse gave in a loud cheer. "That's the way Brucie bites." He said, referencing the made up name he had given to the weapon he carried. He'd never gotten to fire it in combat before, but who knew it's first shots would be a kill.

He heard the voice of Simovic over the radio, that meant one thing to Morse, he couldn't have a celebratory drink... yet.

"Yeah, no. This is Street Gang 2, Bravo. Aint nothin much to update on. Red Eye's done picked up someone in a building on a talk box, don't want no one talkin' bout us behind our backs like chiggers' on rats now do we?" Morse said laughing a bit.

He moved his helmet forward a bit and started re-tying the Texas Flag bandanna on his head, finished quickly, and picked up 'Brucie' again. Then he went back to scanning the darkness.

Gaz and Obi had just finnished clearing the room. "Damn", Gaz muttered under his breath. He was awestruck by the sheer power of the round used to take out the room. It was reduced to rubble mixed with bits of insurrectionalist.
Gaz walked around, eyes darting around the room looking for traps. His IR eyepiece bathed the room in a green glow. He did not see anything intersting, until he came across a small heat source in a corner of the room. He closed the eyepiece and pulled away a blanket that was covering a small black box that appeared to be the source of the heat. He flipped down the eyepiece to make sure that this was it. Hey Obi, come check this out.

Both marines moved gingerly through what remained of the second floor. The APC's main armament had ripped and guttered the interior of the second floor to shreds. The shear concussive force of the rounds could be observed as the walls and ceiling were blown out as the rounds had penetrated one side of the building and out through the other. Bits and pieces of what remained of the enemy personnal was scattered amongst the debris. Their equipment and weapons lay strewn about the place broken and destroyed beyond repair. An SMG lay on the floor with an arm still latched onto the pistol grip in a death grasp. Clearly its owner managed to find himself directly in the path of the APC's cannon shells. Obi rolled a corpse over with the toe of his boot and looked away sickend as the entire front of the upper torso and head and been turned into a bloody mush.

"All callsigns, this 1C, second floor clear. We have an unknown number of enemy KIA's here. I can't really estimate how many as all thats left is bits and pieces. Have numerous small arms, looks like they are mainly armed with SMG's and pistols, no sign of any heavy weapons, on route to your location, out." Obi reported over his headset. Ignoring the mutilated remains Obi headed back towards the stairs and make his way back down RV with the rest of the platoon, when Gaz suddenly called out.
"Hey Obi, come check this out."
Obi moved over to where his fire team member was poking around a pile of debris. Moving up behind him Obi peered over his shoulder and asked.

"What is it you got there mate?"

"Roger Street Gang Two, continue moving up with the rest of the platoon, if the threat has been eliminated, SG 1 Alpha out".

Simovic wasn't to sure what the man was saying but he gathered that he'd had a contact.

Simovic then decided to pop a smoke to conceal the platoons advance from any other lurking rebels. Their IR eyepiece would be unimpeded by this but rebels tended to lack this.

"This is SG1 Alpha deploying smoke, continue following Streetgang Six."

"I don't know man, but this thing is putting off quite a bit of heat. Looks like some kind of container for communications equipment, but I've never seen one that was this hot", Gaz said.
He tried to pick up the box, but it was a little too hot to hold for a long period of time. He noticed that it was on its side, so he flipped it over with a piece of wood that was lying nearby. Gaz realized that the box had some weight to it after picking it up with the handle. He also noticed that there wasn't anything rattling around inside it when he picked it up. He looked on the side of the box and there was a latch. Gaz was just about to open it when he thought to himself, "What if it's a trap?" He turned to Obi and said, "Hey, this thing look rigged to you?"

(OOC: Gaz, I'm not sure where you're going with the 'hot box' idea; but please feel free to wrap it up with a scene involving you and Obi; I'm moving the story along to Turn 5 now. Thanks!)

Obi backed away as Gaz started poking around the object. "Gaz, I don't know what it is but leave it alone. We have to RV with the rest of the platoon, so lets not keep'em waiting."

Obi ordered as both marines made their way back outside and desended the stairs to rejoin with the rest of the platoon.
