Radio Callsigns for Invictus.

Post by Obi » Sun Apr 04, 2010 5:43 am

Hi all,

Max asked me if I could come up with some Radio Callsigns for the mission, here they are as follows.

USS Chicago - 'Almighty'

Dropships - 'Devil 1' (dropship 1)
'Devil 2' (dropship 2)

APC - 'Ironsides'

Command - 'Sunray'

Squad 1 - 'Streetgang 1'

Squad 2 - 'Streetgang 2'

Support/Squad 3 - 'Streetgang 3'

Cheers

What do we use as callsigns within each squad? Ex. What does you're squad use to call you?

Thanks Morse, good pick up.

As the squads are in Fireteams, the callsigns for Squad 1 would be,

Streetgang 1A - Fireteam Alpha

Streetgang 1B - Fireteam Bravo

For ease of playing members can just call each other by the nicknames/names within squads, otherwise it is going to get too confusing. The callsigns are for tactical purposes when each unit is communicating to another unit, such as the first squad calling the dropship for air support.

Does that sound ok?

Cheers

Someone will need to decide who is in each fireteam.

Hey one and all; sorry for the delay on the posts....Obi's callsigns are good; I have a VERY few minor changes and the fireteams broken out, as listed below....

Command Team: Callsign: STREETGANG SIX

-Ramirez: STREETGANG SIX ACTUAL
-Khan: STREETGANG SIX BRAVO

1st Squad: Callsign: STREETGANG ONE

Fireteam Alpha:
-SSGT Simovic: SG 1 Alpha
-CPL Quinn: SG 1 Bravo

Fireteam Bravo:
-CPL O'brien: SG 1 Charlie
-PVT Brown: SG 1 Delta

2nd Squad: Callsign: STREETGANG TWO

Fireteam Charlie
-SGT Kurosaki: SG 2 Alpha
-CPL Morse: SG 2 Bravo

Fireteam Delta
-PFC Patch: SG 2 Charlie
-PVT Lionmane: SG 2 Delta

Support Team: Callsign: STREETGANG THREE

-PVT Shepard: SG 3 Alpha
-PVT Alexander: SG 3 Bravo

APC Crew: Callsign: IRONSIDES

-SGT Pitt: Ironsides 1
-PCF Han: Ironsides 2

Dropship Crew: Callsign: DEVIL DOG

-CPL Hanson: Devil Dog 1
-PFC Alante: Devil Dog 2

I don't believe there's a need for a callsign for the Chicago or other Dropship, as, at this point; there's no one up there. However, if this needs to change at some point: "ALLMIGHTY" for Chicago; and "DEVIL DOG 2" will do just fine.

Let me know if there's any questions, and nice work Obi!

Since we weren't assigned callsigns because we were thrown into the middle of this. I went ahead and got us one.

Detached Squad:

Squad Callsign: Kilo 2
Squad Leader Callsign: Kilo 2 Actual

We weren't given orders on who the Radio Operator is, so it's just going to be Dirk Betts since the Squad Leader never carries the radio and since the fourth guy is just some NPC. I figure it best that our radio operator should be a playable character.

I would have used our company as the Phonetic Alphabet letter, but Alpha was already being used.

Aby objections to this?

No, no objections; but a few notes/clarifications;

First: there is no radio operator; everyone has a comm unit built into thier helmet. There ARE marines who carry larger comm gear assigned on certain missions; but none of the PCs in this mission have this gear at the moment.

Second: "Kilo 2" is fine for the squad's callsigns; but it will breakdown like this:

Fireteam Alpha:

-CPL Valentine: Kilo 2 Alpha
-PVT Lonebear: Kilo 2 Bravo

Fireteam Bravo:

-PVT Winters: Kilo 2 Charlie
-PVT Betts: Kilo 2 Delta
