I wrote this and a friend edited it to make it flow better more is to come sooner or later

In the Fall of nineteen eighty-seven, the services of a group of mercenaries led by Major “Dutch” Schafer, a former Special Forces Commando were requested in Guatemala. Their orders were to be inserted into the jungles of Val Verdi, on a joint operation with the CIA’s Special Activities Division. Their mission involved the insertion of the team into the jungles of Val Verdi in an attempt to locate and extradite the survivors of a downed helicopter containing a top UN diplomat and his staff. After rendezvousing at the determined crash site of the ambassador’s craft and the skinned bodies of an elite Green Beret unit nearby, the team determined there was more to their mission than a simple rescue mission. Following a brief exchange at the Guerilla’s camp, the team began hiking their way out of the jungles to their designated extradition point. Over the next twelve hours, members of the team are ambushed by an unknown assailant until only Major Schafer and a captured Guerilla remain.
Despite efforts by Major Schafer, the jungles of Val Verdi were atomized for several kilometers by an explosive device Major Schafer had witnessed the extraterrestrial responsible for the deaths of his team using. The sample found on the Guatemalan guerilla Anna Gonzales’ pant leg was taken by the government think tank Yutani Corporation

During a series of heat waves in the summer of nineteen ninety-seven, Detective Mike Harrigan encountered a similar extraterrestrial species in Los Angeles. This extraterrestrial species was noted to be similar to the one encountered by Major Schafer’s team in the jungles of South America ten years earlier, and it was speculated the creature had been attracted to the city due to fighting between the drug-cartels. Following an intense battle spanning a week, Detective Mike Harrigan was able to corner and defeat the creature. It should be noted the resulting battle with the creature resulted in the deaths of two local police officers, a Special Investigation team with their commanding officer, and the top echelons of the two dominant drug cartels present in the city.

A plethora of valuable data was collected on the creature’s species from the remains of a partially destroyed computer and the severed forearm of the aforementioned creature. These items were later retrieved by members of the Other World Life Form Government organization to eventually find their way into the possession of the Yutani Corporation Lab.

During the winter of two-thousand-four, a Weyland Corporation satellite detected an ancient temple of unknown origins beneath the ice of Bouvet Island located off the coast of Antarctica. A team comprised of veteran drillers, hikers, and survivalists was gathered by the former chairman of Weyland Industries Charles Bishop in an attempt to determine the temple’s origins before other nations discovered it. Following a short hike across the ice and a descent into the temple’s grounds, it was determined the temple honored the same extraterrestrial species encountered in nineteen eighty-seven and ten years later in nineteen ninety-seven. The only known survivor from this encounter was survivalist guide Alexa Woods. No known samples were retrieved from this encounter.
It should be noted that a second encounter with the extraterrestrial creature and an as of yet unknown species occurred a few days later in the town of Gunnison, Colorado. The encounter resulted in the complete destruction of Gunnison and its inhabitants in the form of a tactical nuclear strike with the only survivors having been found in a downed helicopter outside the town‘s limits. The only proof left of the encounter was a powerful plasma weapon retrieved and later welcomed into the possession of the Yutani Corporation.

Despite efforts made and the samples retrieved, humanity had yet to recover any information pertaining to the species. In addition to the Hunter’s DNA remaining a mystery, the recovered technology surpassed even the most advanced weaponry and electrical systems produced by human science but in the course of two centuries, the Corporations of Weyland and Yutani lead the world in technology and medical advances while retaining the largest of these advances for themselves.
Following several encounters involving the serpent-like Xenomorphs to the Hunters known as Yautja and the enigmatic species of Space Jockeys, the Weyland-Yutani Medical Division had advanced enough to splice human and Yautja DNA setting humanity on an uncertain if not interesting path.

17 April, 2168: On the human colony Eledor 12, a breakthrough was discovered. In the maternity ward of the colony’s hospital, a baby male was born weighing a record twenty-five pounds and measuring thirty-two inches long. A model from the Bishop line aptly named Justin Bishop Weyland had supervised in the experiment since its conception and had stood behind a technician on the momentous occasion. Following a series of medical tests, the infant was shown to be abnormally healthy and had produced a full head of raven black hair.

“Did the mother survive?” he asked “No, sir. The mother’s vitals flat-lined almost immediately after childbirth,” a technician replied. “That’s a shame,” Bishop said with a nod. “I will monitor the specimen’s progress remotely. I’m holding you responsible for this specimen’s growth, physical and mental development. You are to encourage any aggressive behaviors exhibited and keep detailed notes,” The technician nodded in agreement before looking up at Bishop. “Sir, are we not going to accelerate its growth?” The Bishop android or Synthetic shook his head. “No, I’m patient and if there are any genetic memories it’ll be easier for them to surface without growth steroids,” he said before heading out of the maternity ward.

“I believe I’ll name him Alexander Scott,” the technician had thought the name appropriate. “Alexander for the environmentalist that aided in the discovery of the Hunter’s temple on Earth, and Scott for the surname,” The technician had planned to take detailed notes over the following years, but the content of those notes would be a sign of very interesting times. The notes detailing the child’s growth, behavior and the kinds of interests in school would be expected, but to what degree…would be best left to Alexander.

Oct 17, 2168: Specimen Log: Technician Scott: “I am astounded by how quickly this child…this hybrid is growing. Within three months following his birth, Alexander’s front teeth have come in and additionally four small mandibles or tusks. It must be noted, through observation that two of these tusks are located along the upper jaw while the remaining two have taken root on his lower jaw. According to the information provided from the encounters in nineteen eighty-seven, nineteen ninety-nine and in two-thousand-four, I can only surmise these tusks originate from the “father”. While Alexander currently possesses the physical characteristics in the height of a child a year and a half his age, it should be noted the specimen’s growth continues to proceed at an otherwise uncharted pace. The specimen has achieved the capability of bipedal locomotion, and can walk without any assistance. If nothing else this is proof the child is fully independent.

Technician Scott’s Specimen Log: April 17, 2173: “The last five years have passed eventfully, and have been full of surprises. Alexander’s growth has continued to proceed at an alarming rate taking into account his current age. He has begun wearing clothes that would normally fit a seven year old, and even for his size his strength surpasses even children twice his age group. The specimen has displayed a ravenous appetite for high protein foods such as beef, pork, and other animals. To that end, the child care stipend Weyland-Yutani is enough to pay for the clothes, food and more. I hope the teacher has been prepared with Alex starting kindergarten later this year.

Technician Scott’s Specimen Log: April 17, 2178: The last forty-eight hours have been eventful, but it isn’t that unexpected with what has transpired over the last five years. Yesterday, Alex managed to get drawn into another fight against three fifteen year old boys. The fifteen year olds managed to sustain the majority of the injuries, with one having sustained a broken jaw, one with a smashed nose and the third still in a coma. It isn’t surprising Alexander managed to defeat the three boys without even gaining a scratch or a bruise. Alex has shown a nearly supernatural or superhuman affinity towards math and science subjects with an aptitude towards both mechanical engineering and repair. It has been observed Alexander only has to look at an object to determine the object’s functions and how to activate it. I do wonder, if this proficiency stems from a genetic memory or simple genetic disposition. I have taken the liberty to enroll him in extracurricular activities including boxing and karate for hand-eye-coordination and a weight-lifting class provided by his school.

Technician Scott’s Specimen Log: April 17, 2183: “Alex’s height has passed one-point-five meters, leveling off at one-point-eight meters, a rather massive though not uncommon growth spurt for a fifteen year old. He will begin high school soon, but has only recently caught the eyes of several young ladies along with many female faculty members. His behavior has been observed as having become more unpredictable, but is of no risk of being considered dangerous. I have arranged it that Alexander will spend many of his days in the tropical jungles surrounding the perimeter of the colony during the cycles of particularly intense heat waves this world is known for. On a side note, despite my encouragement into Alexander’s aggression he refuses to adopt the posture of a bully. It should be noted due to this…honor code, the specimen will not instigate fights with the local schoolyard bullies. His reactions stem from being either being baited or otherwise pulled into the fight by the aforementioned schoolyard bullies.

Technician Scott’s Specimen Log: October 7th, 2183: “Despite my efforts, Alex has been expelled from the local high school following a major altercation. Two eighteen year old boys were hospitalized as a result…one of which had to be resuscitated. The specimen has become more instinctual and feral while his intellect has surpassed the doctorial level. It is my firm belief that introducing him to the apprenticeship with the Weyland-Yutani Lab will keep Alexander out of mischief. I assume Ms. Erickson and Michelle Justice will be disappointed when confronted with the fact Alexander will not be attending further classes.
………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

Stirring from a deep slumber, Alex’s eyes slowly opened only to sting from the high humidity that seemed to permeate the jungles before dawn especially on a sweltering day. The morning’s weather wasn’t that unusual for the month of November on the colony world, and in fact it was slightly cooler than what it should have been. The young man had slept in that morning for a change, since his expulsion from the school he’d attended.

The gentle noise nearby emanating from a young lady nearly his own age drew his attention had been cause enough for the young man to look at the equally attractive woman to his right. His former teacher Ms. Erickson had fallen for Alexander’s animal magnetism, a strange occurrence the young man wasn’t going to simply ignore. The light from the early morning suns danced along their nude forms, their preferred or lack of evening wear.

Stretching, Alex looked through that early morning haze over the jungle where he felt most at home when the familiar chirp of a communicator interrupted his thoughts.

“Yes?” he growled, out of annoyance.

“Alex, this will be your first day in working with me in the lab. You shouldn’t be late,” Dr. Scott’s voice chimed. The good Doctor’s constant chastising had begun to grate on young Alex’s nerves, but like a surrogate father he couldn’t ignore the good Doctor’s attempts at educating him about the worlds beyond this hot, humid world.

“I’ll be there,” Alexander replied. Reaching over, he nudged one of his girlfriends away. “Do you know the way back to the colony?”

“Yes,…just follow the trail of smoke from the factories,” she groaned, attempting to garner a few more moments of sleep.

“Good. I need to leave,” Alex replied before heading off towards the Company labs. It had been noted he could run quicker, with more traction and agility than the four-wheel drive jeeps the Company kept for transport within the colony’s limits. The realization dawned on him he didn’t even know what the labs looked like or their function outside of the good Doctor’s office.

Entering the Company labs, Alexander went through the front entrance as he had many times over the course of his life. The medical division had served as the colony’s hospital in addition to functioning as a research facility for the indigenous life forms. Looking around, the young man found the front of the office was empty and took it upon himself to satiate his curiosity. It wasn’t until he stepped into the research portion of the lab when a voice rang out, Dr. Scott’s voice.

“Glad you could make it on time,” Dr. Scott said, greeting him. The Doctor guided the Alexander through the labs, insuring the young hybrid didn’t get into mischief or break something very expensive. “Welcome to the Weyland-Yutani Apprenticeship Program, Alex. I understand everything is new to you, but if you have any questions don’t hesitate to ask,”

“You knew I wasn’t going to hesitate,” Alex responded. “What does this lab research? What will I be doing under this Apprenticeship Program?” He asked, following the good Doctor through the twisting corridors while listening to his “father’s” answers.

“This facility is responsible for researching and developing new pharmaceuticals ranging from antibiotics to vaccines and even cures for the various afflictions of the human body. We’ve found vast amounts of flora native to this planet, and other vast amounts of…components in such high concentrations. You, on the other hand, will be working alongside the security forces employed by this facility in various duties from escorting scientists through the jungles. When you’re not doing that, you will assist the technicians including myself here in the labs. We have a weapon’s research division, which you will be allowed to test out new equipment on the condition you ask beforehand. There’s a sufficient marine garrison stationed on this world, but I doubt you’ll see them in these halls unless there’s need for them,”

Alex merely nodded, taking in the Doctor’s explanation as the pair entered the lab.
The two had worked their way through the facility broken only by Dr. Scott’s explanations before passing a mineralogy lab. The two mineralogists within, identifiable by the patches on their lab coats, stood gathered around a table holding a drilled core from the planet’s depths at least a few meters long meaning it had recently been drilled.

“Look at that! The ionizing radiation in this layer dates back to a little over fifteen thousand years ago. The radiation has permeated every sample we’ve taken from this planet’s crust. Whatever happened to cause this type of radiation, devastated the entire planet and the moment of impact must have been strong enough to change the planet’s axis enough for the ice age to have ended. The result would have been the intense heat wave,” one of the scientists said. While the two attempted to analyze the strata in the sample, they contemplated what minerals were worth mining for and where the mines would be located.

Passing another room, a short young lady with reddish brown hair rushed into the corridor in a hurry. Colliding with Alexander, the haphazard stack of books, papers and her backside struck the floor.

“Oh! Excuse me,” she said, scrambling to her hands and knees before picking up the fallen materials.

“Don’t worry about it. You didn’t hurt anything,” Alex replied, with a powerful grin and staring into the woman’s eyes. He helped her to feet, bending over to pick up some stray papers and watched as the woman stepped back a little with a smile of her own.

“I have to get these papers to the geological research staff,” she said before passing the two of them.

“You know, for a moment I thought she was human,” Alex smirked.

“How did you know?” Dr. Scott asked.

“The hint of lubricating oil Synthetics use overpowered the perfume she wore, and her hands were cold to the touch,” Alexander explained.

“Astounding! Simply astounding. Your olfactory and tactile senses are far more acute than I would have ever expected. I’m impressed. I knew your eye-sight exceeded the standard twenty-twenty, but I had no idea the rest of your senses were that acute,” Dr. Scott replied.

“So, who was she? I found her to be a challenge,” Alex asked, with a nod. Chuckling, the good Doctor led Alexander further into the lab he supervised and began with the individual introductions of his staff.

“This is Dr. Braley, a doctor in Xenobiology,” Dr. Scott gestured to a scrawny blond man with glasses before introducing the rest of his colleagues. “The fellow over there is Dr. Garcia, is a Xeno-Micro-Biologist,” after gesturing to a shorter man with spiked dark hair. “Dr. Hunt over there is Xeno-botanist while last, but not least, Dr. Justice is a Xeno-micro-botanist. I believe you‘ve already met her daughter,”

Alex smirked at the brunette in her late thirties whom shared the similar features as her daughter.

“You‘ve met our administrative aid Monica, our resident Synthetic,” Dr. Scott explained, concluding the introductions.

Filing away the names and positions of the lab staff, Alex had familiarized himself with the labs and the personnel. Among the first stops that afternoon had been one of the many nature labs, where he’d recognized the species of the fauna and flora native to the planet one of the research teams had been studied. While the species had been local to the jungles near the colony, the team had separated them into two groups with one belonging to non-venomous origins while the other had due to its venomous qualities been isolated in reinforced containers. Among the many samples that had absorbed the focus of the research team, there had been species Alex hadn’t seen before although some had shared similar characteristics to ones he’d witnessed.

Taking notice of some of the creatures that had been captured, Alex noted they had been milked or had been in the process of being milked to harness their venom. Among the more venomous plants and creatures to have been organized under quarantine protocols in parts of the lab, there had been other non-venomous plants and even some that had been fairly common on other planets of which had ranged from different grains, vegetables, tubers and fruits. Though he understood the necessity as to why the scientists studied the food producing plants, Alex’s curiosity forced him to ask about the more dangerous objects of study.

An attempt to sake Alex’s curiosity, a lab assistant had explained the particulars ranging from the various agents found in some of the venoms having antigens capable of combating cancer to other malignant growths responsible for attacking the body. Some of the traits the scientists had searched for were traits common to antibiotics and even antiseptics.

Following the lecture, Alex found he’d been requested to check into the lab’s small armory in an attempt to familiarize himself with the weapons found in the inventory. The Sergeant in charge of the inventory had been an older gentleman retired from field work, and in charge of nursing the armory in the instant the alarm had been given.

“Wow. They sure do you grow you boys big now,” the Sergeant exclaimed after approaching Alex. “I suppose you’re here to familiarize yourself with some of the toys the science bunch keeps under lock and key? Follow me,”

The Sergeant gave Alex a tour of the lab’s armory, explaining the weaponry present along with their purpose. When the two had found themselves near a rack of M41 Pulse Rifles, Alex had reached out carefully choosing one from the rack examining it. Holding a magazine for the rifle in one hand and the rifle in the other, he’d looked over the weapon for a few moments before the old Sergeant chimed in. Although, the Old NCO had been about to show him how to load the weapon Alex slid the magazine into the weapon with a satisfying click.

“What is this weapon called?” he asked, before chambering a round.

“That, my boy, is an M41 Pulse Rifle. The meat and potatoes of the Colonial Marine Corps,” the old man replied. The tour resumed with the old Sergeant showing Alex the rest of the arsenal including the ZX-76 Shotgun and the standard issued automatic pistol sidearm.

Over a span of a few weeks, Alex had spent time in the labs acquainting himself with the various pieces of equipment to which the duties of the technicians and lab personnel required. He’d managed to fit some training time in with the small unit of Colonial Marines assigned to the lab and learned the proper use of the M41 Pulse Rifle to the Smart Gun and other advanced weaponry in the Corps’ arsenal. Having familiarized himself with the labs and the equipment on hand, the young teenager spent time flirting with the synthetic Monica and while she acknowledged his attempts with light hearted humor she hadn’t quite reacted in the same manner as someone of flesh and bone. Regardless of the reaction, Alex had continued to show interest in her.

While gathering samples one day, he’d looked over at the Administrator and voiced the first thing that had popped into his mind.

“So…are you anatomically complete?” he asked.

“Of course,” the Administrator replied, before heading off to tend to other Administrative duties. Before heading off, Alex growled at her playfulness.
Over the next few weeks, Alex had made his home in the jungles surrounding the Eledor 12 Colony to where he’d felt more at home. He’d acquired a combat knife and had learned how to fashion traps to basic tools out of his environment. Having grown adept to making snares and dead-falls had made him quite valuable to the lab for collecting specimens of living and dead animals, a fact that made the young man proud.

Growing restless from the hot summer that had gripped the colony and the short nights, Alex had spent more time in the jungle than he had earlier that year. Through his time spent in the jungles on trails and crawling through the dense undergrowth of the jungle, he’d spent more time outside the colony than any of the other colonists. The experience gained from the jungle’s natural prowess and of its secrets had made him one of the first non-scientist considerations for outings.
Twelve personnel had been chosen for the expedition, including the four scientists Doctors Barley, Garcia, Hunt, Justine and Scott. While the synthetic Monica had determined who would most benefit the expedition based on their skills and other specialized fields among the civilian portion of the expedition, it had fallen to Alex along with five other marines to provide security. When the team and the equipment had been packed, two modified Cheyenne dropships assigned as transports lifted off from the colonial airstrip with the entire expedition firmly in their holds.

A byproduct of the hottest summer on record with an equally horrid humidity rating, a series of extremely powerful storm fronts had formed without warning. The dropships ferrying the expedition managed to find a suitable landing site despite encountering heavy turbulence , and the team had set up camp. The farther the dropships flew from the colonial perimeter, the worse the storm became and despite the efforts made by the pilots to fly around the storm front the turbulence became worse. Lightning struck the dropship Alex had boarded, dancing along the wings and cargo pods before enveloping the engines. A brilliant show followed as raw electricity snaked along the thruster cowlings before striking the engine blocks, allowing a flame cloud to flow back through the cowling nearly setting the tail on fire. The pilot forced the Cheyenne into a fairly steep dive to shed altitude in an attempt to force the fire out before losing the entire craft, but either the pilot had misjudged the original altitude or the storm had deceived the cockpit instruments the dropship vanished into the tree-line. Branches of century old several hundred foot tall ficus and banyan trees that had perhaps stood for nearly a thousand years before the trespass of man gave way, broke in two in the passing of the dropship before it came to a fairly abrupt stop in the arms of a large banyan tree forty seven feet above the ground.

Swaying from the rain and buffeted by the win, the battered hull of the Cheyenne dropship lay suspended by vines and branches. From the shattered window in the cockpit, the pilot had been thrown forward through the window into the tree to be violently impaled on one of many sheared branches only feet from the bow of the wrecked transport. Alex had been thrown clear of the hull, but if it hadn’t been for his unnatural resilience he might have been in need of a field triage unit. Monica been strapped into the co-pilot’s seat, but had for one miracle or another remained firmly strapped to her seat. Out of the second Cheyenne’s six passengers, only Alex and Monica had survived.
Groaning, Alex stood having to balance himself against the very undulations of the wrecked dropship groaning and creaking under its own weight. The sounds of the death throes of the dropship merged with the howl of the wind passing among the trees and the rain. It hadn’t been long before Alex regained his bearings and undid the straps on Monica’s harness.

((Send feed back via PM please)

Time was not on the pair’s side as the wind howled and buffeted the crashed drop ship. Grabbing the supplies he could, including a double barreled shotgun and a frame pack Alex shouted at Monica “get to the hatch and start climbing out.” Monica nodded and started out the door with Alex close behind.

The going was slow as the rain made the trees trunk slick both Alex and Monica worked to find whatever stable hand grip they could use with Alex passing Monica on the way down. When the pair had gotten fifty feet from the bottom things went from bad to worse when Monica slipped. Shoving his hand into a cleft in the tree and making a fist Alex grabbed Monica’s hand with the other. The force of the androids stop dislocated Alex’s shoulder and for a very long moment they hung there. Then ~snap~ like a loud whip crack a vine that was holding the remains of the drop ship in place broke followed by another and another.

The drop ship started to fall nose first after the pair, in a wild muster of his strength Alex flung Monica to the side and opened his fist letting go of the tree and falling with his back pointed towards the ground. From that vantage point he could see the dropship following him all the way down. It took less than two seconds for Alex to hit the bottom. When he felt several vertebra in his back get displaced but he didn’t have time to worry about the damage he took. Taking the last split second before the dropship smashed down on top of him Alex dove between two fallen trees and covered his head.

The dripship hit causing a major impact tremor; metal tore and glass shattered ripping into Alexs’ flesh. Luckily for Alex the remains of the drop ship didn’t explode. Staggering out from under the wreckage he set his arm into place and went to catch up with Monica who had just gotten herself out of the pool of water she was thrown in. From the shock of the drop and all the excitement neither said a thing to one another and just started heading in the direction of the expedition. They were not far maybe a day’s walk for Alex two or three at the most with the pair’s current condition.

Alex’s wound while not healed had stopped bleeding and now he was getting hungry. The storm had passed and turned into a light drizzle, the suns of that planet had fallen towards the horizon and even Alex wouldn’t risk traveling through the jungle in the dark. A small fire was made and Alex spit roasted a snake over it. As Alex cooked Monica tended to his injuries patching up the lacerations, resetting his dislocated shoulder better and then she had him lay on his front. Straddling his lower back Monica began to pop vertebra and rub knots out of his back.

As she administered to Alex’s wounds she began to speak “You saved my life, even for an artificial human that is a big deal. Given your apparent physical attraction to me, I believe this would be an appropriate thank you. Turn over.” Monica stood to allow Alex to turn over and when he did he saw Monica standing in the light warm rain, her jump suit was removed and she was wearing only a white undershirt and matching bottoms. The wet clothing clung to her synthetic flesh as she returned to a straddling position “I mean if you want to.” Alex grinned aggressively and replied “I should have saved your life weeks ago.” tore the front of her shirt open and embraced her. In the warm drizzle of rain Alex spent the night testing how human Monica really was and Monica tested the stamina of the hybrid.

Early the next morning, Alex and Monica headed out when the first rays of the planets two suns broke over the horizon. The pair moved quickly with Alex in the lead following his instincts and heading in the general direction of the expeditions destination. It was about mid day when the jungle was the hottest and the pair had stopped to refill their canteens when Alex saw…something. He wasn’t sure what it was, all his keen eyes saw through the heat waves was a brief flash, two orbs against the brilliant sky. While this didn’t intimidate or frighten him it did give Alex a heightened sense of awareness.

Soon after the pair continued on, birds were disturbed and Alex could have sworn that every once in a while he could see the heat waves shimmer in a way they shouldn’t have. The heightened sense of awareness he had stayed with him as they closed in on their destination.

==============================================================================

The solar cycle had caused a planet in the Razor Back clan’s hunting grounds to become hot and humid and there was now a small colony of humans now populating; it add to this the remains of an ancient serpent temple nearby and about to be discovered made it a ripe opportunity for a hunt. The humans intrigued the Yautja at the same time incredibly weak and some of the toughest prey their society had ever encountered in the galaxy. A lone hunter was sent to find suitable prey and bring back the trophy.

The Yautja insertion pod fell through a massive storm that took up a third of the planet’s atmosphere. Lightning arched over the hull as it plummeted through the clouds landing in the same area of jungle that the Cheyenne dropship crashed in. Stepping out of the insertion pod the Yautja roared a challenge at the storm and surveyed the area. The wreckage of the crashed drop ship scarred the jungle for kilometers. It was not hard for the hunter to find where two humans had survived the crash and started toward the serpents temple.

The rain had let up enough for the hunter to activate its active camouflage and start stalking the pair.

The Hunter of Eledor 12 stalked its prey keeping them just in range enough to watch them for now catching up with them soon after the dropship fell from the jungles canopy. The first night the male of the pair showed its survival instinct by making a meal out of the local wild life and proved how much of an animal he really was later that night this would make a worthy trophy. The second day the hunter continued to follow its prey but it must not have concealed its movements well enough because the male’s eyes locked with his own.

The moment lasted for a very long time for the Hunter of Eledor 12 and in that long moment the hunter had a profound sense of awareness. In truth the hunter was rattled and this sent shivers down its dreadlocks. .. This prey was different.

============================================================================
Alex and Monica were half a day from the expedition’s destination. There were tracks of USCM patrols mixed in with animal prints and there were another set of prints mixed in they were USCM tread but left a deeper impression. This interested Alex and he pointed it out to Monica; but when the pair finally reached the destination only the USCM and colony personal were running the patrols. To add to the mystery there was a private shuttle of a Weyland-Yutani executive.

As the pair exited the jungle the rest of the expedition greeted them happy that bother were still alive. While Alex and Monica were making their way out of jungle a lot had happened. The first day of the expedition a base camp was set up and general marking off of some ruins were made. The next day more detailed scans with sonar and seismic equipment were made showing the size and general lay out of the ruins. While all this was going on a Weyland-Yutani corporate representative had showed up in a company shuttle and was accompanied by two eight man squads of private security personal which explained the extra foot traffic the pair encountered except for the heavier prints.
Almost as soon as Alex and Monica had showed up they were debriefed by the expedition’s leader and private security head. They both explained how the dropship had been struck by lightning and how they had made their way through the jungle and to the expedition with Alex leading. When Monica had left Alex was asked “was there anything out of the ordinary on your trip back?” The company rep. seemed more concerned about this question than the pair’s welfare. Alex took note of the attitude and replied “I had the feeling I was being watched since about the second day.” The company rep. nodded and took note; not long after the debriefing the corporate shuttle and one squad of private security left in the direction of the crash with the company rep. staying behind to supervise the excavation of the ruins and to take custody of anything of value to Weyland-Yutani mainly being in the form of technology leaving all the geological and archeological discoveries for the colony to process.

The ruins originally were massive taking up the vast majority of the valley the expedition was in. Surveys of the surrounding area showed that the valley where the ruins were was the result of a very large explosion being more of a crater resembling a meteor strike or volcanic eruption. One of the geologists was arguing with the company rep. “No sire, you don’t understand the same kind of ionizing radiation that permeates this planets rock layers is here and in far stronger concentrations. This combined with the fact we are standing in what amounts to be a large crater indicates that this was ground zero for whatever even occurred fifteen thousand years ago.” The annoyed company rep rolled his eyes and asked “are the radiation levels dangerous?”

The geologist shook his head no and replied “no, but…” The company rep. interrupted saying “than we are going to proceed as planned. If the radiation level is not a hazard then I see no reason to stop and if you and your collogues can’t do it than I’ll find some that will. Now this conversation is over, get back to work.” With that the geologist went back to studying the layers of rock beneath the valley while the company rep. disappeared into a nearby modular building.
As the scientists began to excavate the ruins entrance Alex examined the door. It had a strange yet somewhat familiar script to it. He ran his hands over the engraved symbols and glyphs and wondered at them and what they meant. It was going to take a linguist to decipher what was inscribed on the door and Alex was not one of those. He braced himself against the door and gave a heavy push but it didn’t move he figured it was worth a shot though.

Amidst all of the activity the scientists, Weyland-Yutani private security and colony security were engaged in very few realized that the private shuttle and its eight passengers had not returned.

================================ ====================================

The Hunter of Eledor 12 followed its prey into the valley of the destroyed serpent’s temple. The pair had met up with several other humans, sixteen of which were armed and the rest were not armed and were more concerned in digging up the land surrounding the temple and studying the script than fighting. The hunter had surmised that humans had different casts he didn’t understand how the casts were chosen but he noticed the ones clad in white and dug in the dirt were something akin to scholars or tale keepers, the armed ones were obviously the warriors and hunters but then there were others; there were some that didn’t use as many multiple syllable words as the ones clad in white did these seemed to do most of the heavy lifting and ran the machines around the human camp. Then there was the one clad in light weight clothing whose hair was stuck in place by some sort of water based jell and was adorned with gold on his wrist and fingers. This must have been part of the ruling cast, but the question was how did that happen? The member of the ruling cast didn’t seem any smarter than the ones clad in white and he seemed weaker than the warriors and even the heavy lifters but somehow he held sway over the entire group. This confused the Hunter and he decided not to dwell on it.

To hunt the one called Alex now would cause many problems, there were too many unarmed humans in the way. As Alex stepped out of a metal building the apparent leader of the group dispatched a group of warriors in one of the human’s ships towards the crash site. While disappointed the hunter decided that the lead warrior of that group was worth the hunt and began to stalk him and his charges.
When the human ship landed he watched the eight human warriors step out followed by a ninth. This one was artificial and heavier having secondary systems and built in armor through its body. It carried a six barreled projectile weapon with the projectiles being fed to it with a belt. The hunter regarded this artificial ninth member with interest as it fell in line with the rest of the group and started the hunt.

The Hunters first target was the warrior that was carrying the satellite communications equipment on his back. Single file the group of nine slipped through the jungle from the clearing that they landed in. The lead human warrior took the first position followed by the artificial with the others dispersed behind with the communicator coming in last. As the group passed through an outcropping of rock the Hunter snagged its first prey with a monofilament lasso with a quick jerk the lasso tightened and sliced through the neck of the communicator. The body took a full two steps and collapsed without much of a sound. The body and equipment were disposed of and the head was collected for taxidermy later. By the time someone noticed he was missing no one would ever fin the communicator.
With the communicator out of the way the Hunter was able to dispatch warriors two through seven with ease. The artificial warrior and the lead warrior by this time were aware of the Hunters presence and had fortified their position and waited for the Hunter to make its move. Moving around the fortification in the canopy the Hunter examined the situation. The artificial warrior with his powerful automatic weapon was the more dangerous of the two out of sheer fire power and would need to be killed quickly before the lead warrior could be taken. Patience was the key for this hunt. Hours passed and the adrenaline keeping the human going started to subside. He took stimulants to give him a boost but eventually those stopped working and started to wear off with the added effect of what amounted to a major hang over.

As the last remaining human warrior started to falter the Hunter made its move. Drawing its combi-stick the Hunter hurled it like a spear through the artificial warrior’s weapon just as it was going to shoot him. The artificial warrior’s weapon sparked and sputtered as metal grinded on metal and the weapon jammed. The Hunter than finished the artificial warrior off but cutting its head off with his wrist blades claws.

The last human warrior emptied the entire clip of his side arm into the Hunter most of which were deflected by armor and the rest barely making it through its thick hide. The Hunter having deactivated its active camouflage cornered the human and disarmed its self, its wrist blades, combi-stick, plasma caster and lasso were left one the ground and the Hunter challenged the last remaining human warrior.

None of the team dispatched to the crashed dropship left the jungle. The Hunter got its trophies but the one called Alex was the one that got away….

“Where is my shuttle?!” The company rep. shouted at the top of his lungs to the startled amusement of the scientist and security personal. “I sent them out a day ago to investigate something and they were supposed to report in if they had trouble.” Monica being the diplomat smiled and tried to explain “Sir please forgive me but you just arrived on this planet. The ionizing radiation plays hell with the communications here and with the severe weather compounding the issue there is a strong chance they crashed and couldn’t send out a mayday. That is what happened to Alex and me.” The company rep. waved Monica off dismissively and strutted around trying to look important berating and annoying the scientists.

Finally after hours of digging and prying the entrances door was opened and braced so it would stay open. Standing in the lager antechamber and surrounded but large statues of warriors gave all who stepped inside a sense of just how big the ruins were even if they were destroyed and covered by thousands of years of erosion. Hundreds of rooms and corridors and at-least ten levels remained. The ruins were massive and even some of the mechanisms causing doors to open and close turning rooms into corridors and corridors into rooms causing things to be even more confusing. It was going to take years to map out the ruins and even longer to analyze all of the information gained from such an undertaking.

When Alex finally got his turn to explore the antechamber he began to look at the statues of the warriors. They carried spears, wrist blades, some sort of cannon on their shoulders and each one of their faces were masked. His feet crunched on the desiccated bones of some animal he didn’t recognize. At the center of the antechamber was a larger statue if that was possible it was of an unmasked warrior holding up a body of a strange creature in the air in victory. All Alex could do was concentrate on was the face; the warriors face had an extra set of mandibles on its face.

Alex’s tongue crossed over his gums and touched on a set of scars in his upper jaw he remembered a tooth or something growing on either side of his upper jaw and the dentist cutting them out when he was very young, he also remembered two hard lumps on either side of his lower jaw being surgically removed shortly after. Now Alex began to seriously wonder at the interest that his “father” showed in him. His hand went to his bottom jaw as he considered what he was looking at and compared it to himself. Taking a picture of the unmasked warrior he left the antechamber and went back to his work patrolling the edge of the encampment

Apr 17, 2187: Technicians Log: “It’s Alex’s nineteenth birthday. His growth has finally ceased topping out at just over two meters and his weight matches a fit and powerfully built man of his height he has also been letting his hair grow longer and has converted them into thick dreadlocks every time I have tried to convince him to cut them he just ignores me. Over the last four years his physical relationship with the android Monica has developed to a point far beyond a fling her tireless and ageless body being the only one to keep up with his appetite however he still has encounters with Michelle and Ms. Erickson from time to time. His temperament toward me has become more antagonistic since the expedition to the ruins. I can only attribute a portion of it from the typical grab for independence every teenager has but it’s more than that. I can only assume that something happened there that he hasn’t told me.

Professionally he has begun to take up advanced hand to hand combat training from the local Colonial Marines as well as any and every weapons training that he can get his hands on. If he was a dangerous person before he is even more so now. His academic studies have ranged far afield from biology and botany to mechanical and chemical engineering. It astounds me to see how fast he picks up on concepts that even I have problems picking up on. I am wondering how soon it will be before he gets bored with the kind of life this colony provides him.”

Three years had passed since the expedition to the ruins and thanks to heavy machinery, and a lot of money and manual labor its interior has been largely excavated. The majority of items found in the temple were desiccated and shattered bone fragments. The most fascinating discovery was what was dubbed the display room where creatures from all over the galaxy had been killed and displayed along the walls and on pedestals throughout the chamber with a kind of throne at one end of it. The archeologists and geologists had a good sense of the culture and how technologically advanced the Warriors were and had actually started calling them Hunters rather than Warriors as they learned more about their culture but to the company rep’s dismay no new technology was discovered.

Than a large chamber, larger than the Display Room was opened, inside this chamber was the decaying remains of a large creature no one in that colony had ever seen before. It would have stood at just over fifteen feet tall and from nose to tip of the tail the creature was over thirty feet tall. The creature was burned by what looked like highly energized plasma and its crest and several of its plates had been cut and pierced with something incredibly hard and sharp. Never the less most everyone in the colony was excited and reports sent to the Weyland-Yutani head office. It only took a few weeks for a Weyland-Yutani ship to show up with Justin Bishop Weyland stepping off the first shuttle and taking charge of operations at the ruins.

================================== ==================================

Back at the colony Alex’s adoptive father approached by him and said “Mr. Weyland wants to see you Alex.” Alex not feeling very cooperative replied “Tell him to get stuffed.” Alex’s adoptive father ordered “I am your father and you will come with me to see Mr. Weyland.” That was the last straw for Alex and he shouted “Like hell! I know better!” Taking out a small tablet Alex found the picture of the unmasked Hunter alien tossed it on the table and then slammed his fist into the table next to it “Look! Look! Remember those ‘teeth’ you had removed upper and lower jaws?! Look familiar now don’t they?” The technician that had raised Alex since birth slumped into a nearby chair. “You don’t have any right ever to call yourself my father. Ever! Now you tell me! Tell me just what in the hell I am.” Alex hit the table again and it shattered as the technician was scrambling for an explanation when Justin Bishop Weyland stepped in and said “I believe I can answer some of your questions.” Looking back at the doctor Mr. Weyland reported “By the way there has been a respiratory disease outbreak at the ruins; the personal there must have disturbed something in one of the chambers.”
Alex kicked the pieces of table and followed Mr. Weyland as he explained “You were a genetic experiment; we had discovered the DNA of a technologically advanced race of humanoids; the same race that built the ruins on this planet. Because of circumstances beyond our control we never were able to see what the creature looked like. The only pieces of technology we recovered from this creature gave us insight on metallurgy and power creation but that was it. These...Hunters even now are still thousands of years beyond us technologically just imagine what leaps we could take if we could meet one. We created you to get an idea of what they look like and well you are the closest to meeting them we have come so far.” Mr. Weyland was calm and acted if he had an easy way about him but there was something that Alex just didn’t like about him.

Mr. Weyland continued as they walked closer and closer to his personal shuttle “In short Weyland-Yutani created you, we own you and now thanks to the discovery of these ruins and its power core which we are getting closer to every day you have become obsolete and I always get rid of obsolete equipment.” Guns were drawn and a dart of some sort found its way into Alex’s neck. Glaring at Mr. Weyland Alex was about to attack him but the last words he heard was “relax you’re not bullet proof” and everything went black.

Alex woke up behind bars and cursing himself for not noticing the trap until it was too late and for good measure he cursed everything around him. Looking out of the nearby window he saw that he was in the camp near the ruins. Weyland had been busy setting up a lab and command post right at the entrance of the ruins but Alex wondered what the “respiratory outbreak” really was. Stepping in to view Mr. Weyland said “Ah good, you’re awake. What you thought we were just going to shoot you and toss you aside? Naa you as a whole might be obsolete and useless but your constituent parts have some exploitable properties. The stem cells within you for example can be cultivated to make my private security forces stronger, faster and have more stamina. Your blood can be sold as an anti-agapic, you are worth far more to me dead than you are alive but I need your flesh fresh or it’ll all go to waste.”

Alex laughed and began to laugh hard and replied “You should have killed me back at the colony.” Mr. Weyland chuckled and asked “and why is that?” Alex replied “Now I’m going to get out of this cell and kill you and anyone who gets in between you and I.” Mr. Weyland laughed and stepped out of the cell block saying “Good luck with that.”

It had been three years since the Hunter of Eledor 12 had been on that planet and now there was an alert coming from the serpent’s temple on it. Apparently the humans had managed to activate the core and had disrupted a stasis chamber containing serpent eggs. To prevent the humans from steeling Yautja technology and for a glorious serpent hunt the Hunter returned to Eledor 12.
The Hunters insertion pod landed and cloaked in a clearing a few miles from the ruin encampment. Arming himself with a plasma caster, wrist blades, dagger, wrist mounted net launcher and shurikens he began his hunt. The humans had been busy setting up building and patrols were busy and farther out than three years ago. Waiting for a group to pass the Hunter fired off a net while cloaked. The net caught two human warriors and pinned them against a nearby tree. As the net tightened the Hunter closed in and drove his wrist blades deep into a third human warriors skull and out of the other side. Twisting the wrist blades the humans skull crumbled and the Hunter moved on.

The Hunter encountered and slaughtered another group of human warriors before approaching what was now a fortified encampment. Auto-targeting turrets lined the walls and were pointed both inside and outside. A guard tower was in the middle of the entire complex with several auto-targeting turrets and guards armed with automatic weapons were stationed in it. Next to the guard tower was a communications building with a large dish on the top of it. As the Hunter drew closer alarms and klaxons started to sound and out of a different building serpent drones began to emerge. The auto-targeting turrets and guards began to fire as the serpents began to swarm over the encampment. Within all the confusion and chaos the Hunter zeroed in on the human called Alex.
