ROLE CALL
Everyone who wants to be a part of the Orion Campaign, reply here. I've got some cool ideas and I hope it turns out as good as Nembus did. Thanks to everyone for playing and helping with the last campaign, it is appreciated.

From talking to those on our discord server, it seemed that most people wanted longer turns until all this Covid craziness passes by. I will be moving from 7 day turns to 10 day turns. If everybody posts in the first 7 days I'll probably just post the next turn but I wanted to let everyone know who isn't in the discord.

Sorry for the delay guys. I think I've been losing my motivation. Don't worry, I'm not quitting or stepping down!! I just want to give you all an idea of where I am at.

I am in the process of moving, and mediacom was so kind as to come out to my house 20 days early and cut the internet wires. So it's been hard to get on here very much. Last weekend was also my birthday so I was getting pulled in every direction. It was a good weekend but I was busy the whole time. This whole last week I've been too tired to write or do much of anything. It's been a struggle even to play video games I've been so wiped out.

As for USCM itself, I think I am getting frustrated. As you all know, I am brimming with enthusiasm for this kind of stuff. But I am lacking on the organizational side. I hate figuring out the stupid dice rolls lol. I don't really care for the dungeon crawls as much as for the plot, but it seems that most players only respond to the dungeon crawl stuff and the plot gets ignored.

I feel frustrated because I feel like everyone is sort of drifting away. It may be because of the virus or a thousand other legitimate reasons, but I do find it a bit frustrating. The discord chat has shrunk to a small number of generally inactive people.

As I said, I am not giving up. I started the campaign and I will finish it in a timely fashion. But I'm just venting the way I am feeling to see if anyone has any ideas.

Hey amigo, I'm sorry if you're feeling bummed and obviously I can't speak for anyone else, but I think you've been dong a fantastic job, so I really appreciate it!

I know some folks come and go....it seems to be an all too frequent occurrence on pbp games (I run a few myself on some other boards), but I have noticed a small corps of dedicated souls here.....Morse, taimdala, barbarian and a few others....I hope you stick with it, but if not, no worries, I understand.

I'm pretty new to discord and I didn't know we had anything going on over there....if you post the link (I'm sure you already have somewhere, sorry my old self missed it) or chat me the invite, I'll jump in over there.

Anyway, thanks again for running a great game and here's one vote for hoping you keep it going!

I'd like to second that. You've got my vote to keep going.

I think we're all trying to juggle WFH with our free time. WFH tends to dissolve the boundaries between being on the clock and being off it. Physical proximity of work to not-work does take its toll. I find my time is oddly sucked up by fielding the kids at home (school had to go WFH, too) and hubby's been WFH from the git-go ... oy.

I'm still here and I'm still interested in playing. It just won't be right this moment. I have a birthday lasagna for my hubby to assemble and pop in the oven. Then donuts for cake. Yummy ....

Messy, but yummy.

Thank you both for your confidence. I don't want to let people down and I don't want to be constantly whining and seeking confirmation. I am going to recombine the two units as participation is dipping in both. Just have to figure out how to do that within the plot.

Sorry I missed the turn post for another weekend. I moved into a new place saturday and spent today with my family for fathers day. I hope I find motivation some time in the next 3 days or so. If not, it will be another 2 week turn. Once things settle down in my life I hope to get this all back to peak efficiency.

Thanks for your patience.

Appreciate the GMing, even if you keep trying to kill us all, or maybe it's just me. We'll get through it.
