yeah, maybe Nick could make two five-man squads, by adding Dirk to one, and Con to another.

From the core rules;

The standard Colonial Marine strike team includes a junior officer, 2 Auxiliary personnel, a squad of 8-10 Colonial Marine Line infantry and a Synthetic

So all should be O.K with 2 five-man teams. so Dirk and Con, relax. Nick's great, he'll sort it out.

Of course the Colonial Marine Tech Manual has a different setup lol, but I think this RPG came first. Personally with the small numbers of the platoon, I opt for the latter since each squad is in an APC. Of course I see a different organization than that. But thats all semantics and nit-picking insanity!

Yeah we have no real upper limit, we are a bit floating when it comes to exact numbers. The theoretical max would be a full platoon (20~) with active posters, but we have no had that in the years that have been. If you want to play you are welcome - However you might have to wait until a fitting spot appears in the story for your character to enter.

I think Dunn and Obi are still pretty active. There's a chance their could be a 3rd squad.

No fixed max number, we will adjust the number of soldiers in each one accordingly. The USCM is an ad hoc organization and few, if any, wartime military formations are in reality as they are on paper.

Hey nick, id happily re-write Con Alexander (my old character) if u needed a leadership position filled, i believe he was a sergeant. Id actually love to bring him back.
