Seeing as band-aids won't cover a sucking chest wound, clamp the femoral artery and remove the bullet, no, not really.

As much as I don't want to ask the same question twice. Do I have to pick up the Med-kit again here since there doesn't seem to be anyone else who can

I say I should keep the E2, and someone in my squad should carry the kit.

Heavy gunner or medic Morse. Pick one.

Hell, the E2 isn't that heavy. How many smartgunners are there.

While weight may or may not be an issue, I think it is an issue of roles. Dunn is a smartgunner, and from what I gather Rednus is going to be some sort of "heavy hitter." There are others in the squad of more or less equivalent proficiency who could use an E-2 if there really was a need.

On the other hand, you're the best medic, and if I've read the pdfs correctly, only one who can use the M-52. If a firefight breaks out, having you as one of the main gunners is probably more of a liability. After all, if I were wounded, you could treat me. If you were wounded, no one can treat you (or anyone else for that matter).

That's my interpretation on the matter.

Let me give you a run down here. It is primarily a weight issue, since if you'd read over my pdf a bit heavier, you'd notice I have the lowest strength of all characters (that includes the woman). Moreover the M41A-E2, isn't really a heavy firepower weapon. It's the 300 magazine that makes it stand apart from the standard model, rather then the secondary weapon. I only want it for the magazine size.

But, since Duncan is seeing the same thing I see, in that I made the mistake a few years ago of putting too much in everything, I suppose I'll go in with the M-52.

HOWEVER

I want a grenade launcher on the 41A AND I want a gas mask to go along with the equipment.

Yea, I'm pretty weighed down too, but if I ditch the armour and go with my 'sniper with a smartgun' idea, I'm sure I can pack a spare medkit that ya can use, Morse.

I might even see if Dunny can pick up some basic first aid training to help out in case ya get hit. More medically able people we got, the better.

Given the circumstances, and the likeliness that we'll be in different squads makes it's probably better for me to go with the standard 41A. I had a good run with the E2.

Thats the plan, Duncan, I'll hopefully be taking the sentry gun, and if Quinn allows it, a grenade launcher or smartgun.

(all ok if he doesn't though, as an expert in gun combat, the pulse rifle and I get along just fine.. :-* )

Duncan pretty much hit it on the head. And when you're carrying the E2, it's not just the weight of the weapon, but the weight of the spare ammunition that can take it up.

And grenade launchers are standard on Pulse Rifles, so that's not a problem in the slightest, and additional grenades hardly weigh anything. And gas masks should be standard equipment in a war zone or on any patrol. If it isn't, consider it standard from now on.

Darkblade, you can either be a sniper or smartgunner, and you're given the equipment for either role. Every person carries an IFAK (Individual First Aid Kit) that allows someone to do first aid on you. Morse would just get a bonus from his kit because it's more comprehensive, and he can keep track on the vitals of the entire unit.

And Rednus, you don't have the "Machine Gun" skill, so a smartgun is right out unfortuntately. If you wanted a grenade launcher, it comes standard on the Pulse Rifle. I'm not really sure how sentry guns would work normally, but I could be surprised.

Ah yes, your absolutely right Quinn, my bad.
(Its been quite a while since I played... ::) )

All good, I was gonna switch up sentry skill for machinegun skill based on what the squad needed to get playing efficiently, but I guess I'll keep my character as is, It was just gonna be a final adjustment before we start.

Anyway, thanks for letting me back in, can't wait to annihilate some xeno's with you guys.
