I thought we weren't meant to be allowed to upload our own avatars?

Oh it's a sinch! All you have to do is upload whatever image you want to photobucket, or some place like that, then, go back to editing your profile and choose the option that allows you to use a linked image (URL) for your avatar instead of uploading one directly to the site.

And tadaaaaa! Your own personal avatar.

I would have done so, but there were already a decent amount of ready-made avatars that were very nice so I didn't mind just using one of those. It's always best to be polite and make sure that your avatar is not larger than the avatars that the rest of us use, however.

I know this means having a small avatar, but in many of the writing groups I've been too, this was just the thing that everyone did to be kind. It also keeps the text from being squished.

I hope this helped :)

Personnel avatars have been disabled. It stops people uploading Bart Simpson and the like. We're trying to keep the avatars in keeping with the game.

I doubt anyone would do such a thing if they're asked to stay in keeping with the game. If people are going to stick with a group, the last thing they would want to do, is be rude to their fellow writers they're going to be writing with.

Of course, this is your server and I love it. I tend to have a -- more forgiving personality than a lot of people thoug, so I don't mind either way. I just always try and help. Looks like you have it all under control in your own way.

I just like to think that people are compliant in such trivial details. Common sense and all... lol Ah, well here's to wishing the best.

Sometimes it just saves alot of hassle to not give people the option to do the wrong thing.
