Nice book, i can recommend. Some of the stories feature apperances of well-known Marines, some of the stories introduce new types of Xenos.
All in all 18 short stories worth reading.

if you ever wanted to know ...
- where the Bishop-Model of Aliens did came from and how he learned the "knife trick"
- why Corporal Dietrich is hot for flamethrowers rather than pulse-rifles
- what the background of Corporal Hicks is
- what happened to Burke after he betrays the marines and locks them in in the operation's centre
- how things are from a xenomorph's point of view
- what happened on fiorina 161 after the events of aliens 3
... then you should read "Bug Hunt"
