Anybody Know How To Make Video Games?

So does anybody on here have any idea about how to make video games? I was thinking recently that it'd be cool to make some kind of real Aliens game that you could play on the site here. I'm not sure how that would work but I was thinking it would be something like https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gauntlet_ ... ideo_game) and you could play it in the browser.

Can somebody tell me if this is a stupid idea?

Gauntlet was an awesome idea.

I've had a hand in game design, the issue I have is time.

Check out Unity, it has a web based player and has a bucket of tutorials.

Yeah time is a major issue for me as well. I've looked and Unity and I think it's pretty awesome! Do you think it would work for a browser based game?
