I appreciate it!

I only have limited time every day to work on this so today I will do an outline of what I need to do to finish the pulse rifle.

STEPS TO FINISH PULSE RIFLE

1. Finish Research on blueprints and plans
2. Create design document for M41A Pulse Rifle
3. Start prototype
4. Work on prototype, identifying ways to simplify manufacturing, eliminating design faults
5. Complete prototype
6. Start manufacturing M41A Pulse Rifle
7. ?
8. Profit!

At least this program doesn't have me crying and claiming I never had an addiction to Japanese Role Playing Games while being confronted by my family and friends during a two hour long session of therapy. I MISS YOU SO MUCH SUIDOKEN!

;)

On topic though I've been looking at the blueprints and instructions that I've already downloaded and I realise that I need to decide how I'm going to fabricate everything. Since they are going to be pretty much single use items then I can probably look at using plastic or resin, rather than fabricating them out of metals. Need to cost them as well.

If you're pretty handy, and plan on making more later, it might be worth making a mold and then pouring the plastic or resin into the mold.

I'm definitely not handy at all. In fact you could probably say I'm terrible at crafting stuff but I can learn things and this is something that I'm slowly learning. I think plastic is the way to go so setting up molds is probably the way to do it. The plan is now vaguely in place and I'm doing research throughout the weekend after I finish work.

I'll do some research while I'm out on baby leave and see if I can come up with a simple solution for making the mold, probably some youtube videos to be attached this weekend.

That definitely sounds like a plan! I've been sick for most of this week so didn't do anything to advance my scheme. I do have some blueprints and I'm trying to figure them out. Here's one I googled previously Image

Nothing has been done this week. Haven't had the computer due to my wife watching the Outlander series, so been forced to wait till I get home before I can get online and that only gives me a couple of hours before I have to head to sleep. Plus now she wants me to dress up in a kilt and fool around with her. I'm into it but it's kind of weird.

Will start actually transferring the plans I have onto cardboard and make a lifesize cardboard cutout. It sounds stupid and it probably is but at least it will get me moving forward.

There was a tutorial on YouTube that showed what you needed and How to Make a Pulse Rifle with Air Soft Guns.

My suggestion on making a mold would be to use Sculpy Sand and press the gun into it.
Another thought is 3D Printing but I think you already mentioned that.

Yeah I haven't been able to do anything on this, due to my work situation. I will check out the Sculpy Sand tutorial though.
