I know we're not an AVP site, and AVP in general is just terrible. And in no way am I advocating their insertion into the game. I'm just curious how many of you think that Predators exist in the universe that our game takes place in. It's a weird thought that crossed my mind, but I was just curious if anyone thinks they do.

(Literally this is like a Colonial Marines "Do you think Aliens" exist thing)

As a player, I do believe they exist. As a GM, I've occasionally left clues that they are in fact around while never actually showing them. Giving good sci fi that way.

Nothing in the Alien universe hinted at that. Predator 2 on the other hand hinted at it in the final scene were there is an alien skull in the mothership.

I think they are both awesome sci/fi and combining them is and was an awesome idea. Sadly it was not done very well - With the exception of the first computer game which was awesome.

The original Aliens vs. Predator trade paperback novel is superior workmanship to the movies. The actual first script or rather what I got to read of it was also better. Google them and you should still find them.

I sincerely hope not. Realistically, I don't think a USCM Section would stand much of a chance against a really competent Predator - especially not if they were having to deal with other hostiles as well.

I'm in the opposite corner on that. Sure we'd lose a few guys, but we still have far superior technology at this point. The motion tracker would pick them up, the Smartgun sensors would probably see them, plus our weapons are far more powerful now. A standard M41A using ammunition that would rip even a predator to pieces (thats to say nothing if they got in front of mine or Capones Smartguns)..... the flamethrower guys are still screwed though.

In the Predator book series though they note that the humans are becoming a serious problem. Their technology has expanded so rapidly and there are so many that they can't fight us.

Predators are nasty, but rely on basic hunting and psychological techniques to flush out their prey. They're not soldiers, they're hunters. They'd be difficult to drop, but it's certainly possible.
