Agreed, but so do most AAA titles.
Heck, bugs aside, which I've not seen any anywhere near that bad, me and my friends have been having a blast playing the game.
Get it dedicated servers and modding tools and it'll be a keeper.

Yeah..
I am baffled on how they failed to make this a good game. They have had over 6 years to get it right...that means they started right after I started this game.
Put things in perspective.
With that said, I am still having fun in game - But it saddens me, yeah it really does, to see the lost potential here. This could, with polish, easily been one of the best if not the best computer game I would ever had played.

It's a victim of it's own hype.
There is no way it would live up to your expectations. 6 years or 60.

If the game was anything like above I would agree with you. But not now...sorry, Gearbox screwed it up.

I hear the four gb patch does a fair bit for it, though. Personally, I love the game, but it could have looked so much better. Comparing it to the 2010 AvP game shows that much.

All I wanted was Left 4 Dead with colonial marine characters, weapons, alien enemies only and cool environments from the movie. That would have done it for me.

I think the best description of A:CM I've ever heard was summed up in a quote I read on youtube video of it.
"It's 50 euro's I could have spent on something useful, like food or crack"

I'm a definite fan of the game but agree that it's nowhere near where it should have been. The gameplay is uninspiring, the graphics are dated, the storyline is whack, and the NPCs survive everything and aren't particularly likable and the character you play 'Winter' is a bit of a drama queen! I think though that what they have now, which are pretty much FPS linked maps with cut scenes to connect them, can be improved with some work. I'd kill off Winter, preferably by high explosive to the face, and put in a character that doesn't scream like a school girl every time something bad happens to somebody in his or her squad.
Having said that apparently there is a new co-op campaign DLC coming out for game so here's hoping they come up with some better tweaks!

Yeah everything is all good Nick!

Been a while since I jumped onto the forum so I thought I'd pop on and have a yarn with you guys.
But enough of my yakking! Lets get back to the topic at hand, how they can improve the Aliens: Colonial Marines game.
What would you guys like to see implemented in game? Anybody on the games forums?
Personally I want to see more co-op stuff, either campaigns or one off single missions, maybe which give you some kind of unique piece of equipment or achievement. Increase the amount of co-op players to 8 and make all the NPCs killable. I really like the way you can customise the weapons but you need way more options.
Need to definitely tweak the gameplay and animation for the whole game so that problem that happens when the Aliens leap at you with them freezing in the middle of the air mid leap doesn't happen. More unique kill animations. Allowing access to vehicles! Would love to play an exo-skeleton wearing badass! Does anybody know if they actually have power suits in the Canon Aliens universe? I mean they have exo-skeletons so it shouldn't be a stretch to make a power armour suit.

I would like to see....... the developers all fired...... oh wait.... a lot of them were.
That game was horrible. The fact that it was Aliens is the only reason we would like it, but it was almost like a brutal assault on people that like this series.
Why was the Sulaco there? Why was Hicks still alive? Who was in his cryo tube? Why was Weyland on the Sulaco? How was there an infestation on the Sulaco already? How did Welyand set up everything so quickly? Why would people who recognized the sheer destructive force of the Aliens handle it so poorly? Why is 'Bishop Weyland' the go to model of ALL Weyland robots? Why was the Weyland robot interogating Hicks? Why was it interogating hicks when he could have just answered the questions?
And these.... are just story questions.... they say nothing of the terrible development
Do not answer these questions. They are not thoroughly answered in the game itself. I'm merely pointing out that with as many holes as I listed in the 3 minutes of typing this.... this was a horrendous effort which was called "Aliens" practically to just sell models.

Totally agree that the game was terrible which is why I would love to fix it! I'm glad they actually released the game even for how bad it is. It sucks that if this game doesn't work they probably won't take a chance on another version of it.
