I have total allegiance to my former/current Marine gaming group the USMC Gamers. Especially so since we're a incorporated non-profit vets group and I'm a board member lol.

Any more vets into RPGing point them this way.

I've met or convinced a few here and there but most guys I know are video gamers. A smaller few play boardgames like 40k, etc. And fewer still actually RPG. Bring up this and other sites (like our Gamer organization) all the time and usually get "Well I'm not *that* into it."

Apparently RP by forum is scary for the RPGers... Which I don't get... Way easier to "get into character" you know?

Video games are now socially acceptable, so it's okay to play video games. Although the 40k players have no leg to stand on when it comes to geekiness. I happen to be one myself.

The RPGs still have a social stigma to them, hailing from the great war upon them done by a few fringe elements of the Christian Church (claiming D&D players to be Satan worshippers). Which is why I prefer the company of my fellow "heretics", like you guys!

But I find it funny that Vin Diesel still plays D&D. Yeah, try telling that guy that what he's doing is not "socially acceptable to the majority".

BF3 Mod? Or is it complete RPG and imaginative?

Ohh btw seems like the perfect play to ask for help about computers, i want to change out my old motherboard.......any hints, tips, and knowledge will be gladly accepted.

It's a thing within the game, where you can have friends join a battlefield platoon. It's like a clan.

Hell ill volunteer for a clan on BF3 need some real squaddies out there

PC because that's what I have.

I would be down for this, I had put off buying the game because I would have no squad mates, but this gets me psyched. When would we play/practice?

Seeing as most of us have lives (school, jobs, sports riots ), it's basically to keep track of each other. And if we're on at the same time, stomp newbs together.
