So, who plays? And what do you got?

Myself, got a Tokyo Marui M-4A1 and a Tokyo Marui M-92FS S.T.A.R.S. Edition. (Gotta be ready for them zombies!)

KJW P226 full metal gas blowback - Simply because it mimics my service arm - I use it for CQB training quick kill drills.

Really good complement when you just want to try something out without having to go to work and break out your service arm.

For me, regrettably, they don't make airsoft versions of the Ruger .44 Blackhawk or the Browning/FN Hi-Power 9mm. But for your viewing pleasure, my kit!

Seriously?! :o

That's a bummer because if you have the right guns it's like a real combat op...

I am intrigued by the sound of this game and shall explore the possibilities. How much does it hurt if you are hit by a ball? I've been hit a couple of times by paintballs so if you can use that as a reference point I'd be much obliged.

Well, where paintballs are about the size of a grape speeding at you, airsoft uses 6mm plastic BBs, although they go much faster at 300-500 FPS. It'll sting pretty good, but nowhere near the bruises you get from paintball. Airsoft is also cheaper in the long run than paintball if you treat your equipment right. Also, wear a full face mask. Some fields only require eye protection, but I've seen teeth knocked out from a speeding airsoft pellet. Also seen airsoft pellets embedded in the skin because some dumbass wasn't paying attention to the 20' surrender rule.

I've been shot with paintballs, softairguns and 8 mm simunition (fired from service arms). The softairguns and simunition rank about the same in pain - Paintballs are much worse in my opinion.

Also if You are playing airsoft with goggles only use teeth protection...

There's also the whole "airsoft bb imbedded in the skin" thing.

Sure is banned. Australia has rather strict fire arm laws now. About 10 years or so ago now, we had a nutter walk around Tasmania and take out about 35 or so people. After that incident, the fire arm laws were overhauled and they are now very, very firm in regards to the type of firearms that can be used and owned for personal use.

Is this a bad time to say that airsoft weapons are not actually "firearms"? Seeing as firearms use a chemical propellant to force a projectile to move down a barrel, airsoft doesn't fall under that definition.

Yeah but paintballs striking bare skin also tends to tear it, plus you got much more mass in the ball. Perhaps subjective but I take a softairgun BB over a paintball.

Agreed. Not to mention, less of a mess.
