For you and anybody else new or old lurking around out there on these boards; in the current PBP (play-by-post) game: "Invictus"; several players have either dropped out or are not posting very often.

I think I know of a way to introduce a few new players; if people are interested. Send me a PM if interested!

Just a few words of introduction, just so you know who this "Sam" person is lurking around.

I spotted your (brief) advert on PBeM2 and thought I'd have a look. After doing so for a couple of days I took the next step and registered. I'm processing some concepts for a character now, but I see you're in the middle of an operation at the moment and probably don't have a lot of opportunities for newbies to join in. That's fine, as I'm willing to wait.

As for me, I'm an old hand at PBeM/PBP games and a requisite fan of Aliens. I'm curious to see how things are done around here and where/how I might fit in.

For those of you who are new; please create a character and save them on this site; as for joining the game; my basic idea will be for you to be a Squad (or remnants thereof ) attached to the supporting marine attack on the city and in the midst of the fight have gotten seperated from your parent unit and will eventually encounter the other PCs marines.

Couple of real quick notes; Please no officers or high ranking NCOs; E1s-E5s are okay....

"Standard" USCM arms are fine; i.e., M41 Pulse Rifles, "Smart Guns" (though no more than 1 PC with one, please); and quite possibly Shotguns or Scoped Rifles as well.

I will be brining the newbies onto the action with the next Part (i.e., probably on this Wednesday's update).

Alright, well, I made some changes to my character's equipment now that I know that I don't have to select only that list of standard gear. I only added some basic equipment, such as Flares and Grenades. I also swapped my Pulse Rifle for the M42A Scope Rifle, because I wish to follow as a Shooter in the Scout/Sniper, and Dirk is planning on being my spotter. If these aren't alright, then let me know.

I'm pretty stoked about getting started on Wednesday.

I've checked over your character and you still have 5 points left to spend on your stats. I've also amended your gear as you had added some stuff which doesn't have any weight (as its already included in your combat load). So I added a Pistol, Grenades & Smoke Grenade instead.
