Damn

Post by Dugan » Fri Feb 27, 2009 11:01 pm

Just found out today I missed out getting into the Metropolitan Police force by 1% after completing a days worth of assessments a month ago.  :(

If my maths skills didn't suck so much I would have passed. Now I have to wait another 6 months before I can attempt the assessment day again, shit.

Looking on the bright side I did think I'd done really bad and was very surprised to find out I'd only just missed out.

Hard luck Dugan!

At least you know what to expect the next time you sit that test though.

I got a letter through the post the other day, I've been offered a position as a PCSO (Police Community Support Officer) as I narrowly missed out on the MET (Metropolitan) Police. However I probably won't take it as you get paid alot less than the MET Police plus you don't have any real powers of arrest as one, you just sort of do all the crap jobs the real Police don't have time to do such as foot patrols and the like. And on top of all that I wouldn't be able to apply to the MET for a year if I took the position, currently I only have to wait 6 months.

Hey man. That sucks to hear but I cycled through Ranger School 2 times before graduating. The first due to failing the Darby Queen event and the other due to a sprained ankle. You'll get in bud. Best of luck to ya.
