So you think you can write?

I occasionally peruse the forums over at the Black Library, here's the link -
http://forum.blpublishing.com/
And I have decided to try my hand at writing a short story set in the Warhammer Fantasy universe. Seeing as there are a few Warhammer fans I was wondering if everyone was interested in having a competition to see who can write the best short story set in either the Warhammer Fantasy Universe or the Warhammer 40,000 Universe.
Rules are if you are interested you must post in this thread and then everybody has one month to write and finish their story and post it in the Black Library forum. Once that is done we will all read the stories and vote on the best, one vote per forum member.
Winner gets the kudos of being the best and can play this song to themselves -

So who's in?

a table top game played with metal miniatures and lots of dice, basically its Warhammer...taken way up to the 41st century, the earth emperor is a man/god and he commands all the human forces.
space marines (elite tactical assault troops), imperial guard (um kinda like the colonial marines) then all the axillary troops, (tanks artilery fighters and so on.)
then there are chaos forces, same as human only evil...muhahahahahaha...my army by the way, and the wave been corrupted (saved i say) by the warp...big space area full of super evil (cool) stuff and they get daemons and heretics and the like.
then there are the space orcs....WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH.....loads and loads of green skinned killing machines with axes and assault rifles......yeeeeehha mofo's great hand to hand no so good at de shooti stuff
the eldar, an ancient race that does not like fighting but is learning fast...better tech but basically the same as elves in Warhammer
lets think, oh the tau, new ish race lots of machines and people in heavy walker armor masive ranged fire power, crap hand to hand
there may be a few others now been awhile since i played, but good fun, head to your local toy store and see if they sell any if they do find out if there is a club, go watch have fun..thats how i started

What eyeball said. I quite like the setting of the Warhammer 40,00 universe.
Actually now that I think about it why don't we have an Aliens short story competition? Winner gets to high five himself?

Hi guys. I've been playing both tabletop games for over seven years now. I also played in Warhammer related RPGs like this one. I dare to call myself a lil Warhammer expert. But I won't join in the competition, my english writing skills are insufficient. In german no problem, wrote several already.

I used to play Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay (1st Edition) and have pretty much every supplement they released. Including Empire in Flames, which is worth loads.
