Hello guys

I am back.

I hate US airports, because in my way back I was sitting in front of the boarding gate, the boarding was supposed to start at 13h24 and since at 13h35 I did not hear anything I asked to the man. He said that the boarding was closed and he made the announcement and there was no way that I could get on the plane and the next available flight was on Sunday.

The plane was still there and since I needed to buy another ticket the other company found my luggage still in the airport undergoing to the security checks. In addition, the plane was still there attached at the corridor.

I was very angry about that and about the guy, I hope that something like that will happen to him.

It could have been worse I my Dad, Brother and Sister and my Wife's Uncle and family got stuck in Cyprus after XL Airways went bust. They were meant to fly at 11am last Sunday but didn't end up flying until 3am the next morning. Even then they were directed to an entirely different part of the country to where they lived and had to pay loads for a hire car and drive all night to get home!

Besides the airport guys I like the USA and the people living there. I had the chance to talk with a lot of interesting people and not only belonging to my workshop.

Cheers

Usually when I fly somewhere and it's not work-related, my luggage gets lost. 60% of the time, it works all the time, so to say.
Glad to have you back!  ;D

How was the workshop?

Hello

thanks for your support. I was really in panic...

The organisers will put the documents on the web, so I will tell you the links.

Some presentations had been interesting, and others, I had the feeling that they were adressing to high school people... sorry I am too old for that...

I liked Carlisle, it is a nice town.

But why you US guys never go the park? I mean, in Carlisle there was a wonderful park where it is possile to play baseball, have a pic-nic, play soccer, sit under a tree and play a computer game or a "station" game (Playstation, Nintendo, etc.) or read a book. The parc was EMPTY... and I was shocked since it is beautiful.

Or career criminals- where else are they going to shoot people and sell drugs?

But you're right Erika, I've noticed that people don't use public areas as much here as they did back home- don't know why, thou.  ???

Do they have real animals and real trees in America??!!! ;)
I mean, if I lived in the US, I would go to parks once in a while. Here, we have parks that are little pebble fields with a withered, nearly dead tree in the middle. With a couple of exceptions (Hibiya Park, Yoyogi Park), they are all the same.

I was surprised but the trees are made by wood and not by plastic... :P
