The game is a first person, co-op shooter with 2 game modes (not including singleplayer) Campaign mode as you try and go through the stages safehouse to safehouse and then get evacuated. Or versus, which is basically the same thing, but there's humans controlling the "special" zombies (go read more).
This game is best described as EPICly good. There's too much to write here. I'm Carriage on steam BTW

Aliens is coming out
L 4 D is out and if You don't have it You should get it. It is insanely good and fun, albeit a little short.

It's not really that short. The game has 4 campaigns which last at least 1 hour each in singleplayer/campagin mode. But if you're playing on the hardest difficulties they're closer to 2 hours. Then, after that, you have versus mode which is more.
