Halting by the door, Jacob looked at the fingernail marks.

Instantly one thought sprang to mind, xenos.

No human could illicit the terror that would cause someone to do that.

"Ok guys, weapons free, smokes are ok and knives are probably stupid. I don't think that a human dragged this person in there. So, cover the door - Fox, seeing as you're eager - go right ahead. But be careful!" Whispered Jacob over the comlink. His heart was racing, breathing deep he placed an unlit cigarette in his mouth and knelt down, aiming at the door.

As ordered, Tyler took up the rear position, and stood guard. Being weapons free made him feel more relieved. He stood with his pulse rifle at the ready, looking around.

Fox looked to see that smiles approved. he turned back to Dirk and then to the door again. He noticed that Xeno's had there names written all over the place. He slowly grabbed his knife and opened the door in a quick motion with it.Soon as the door went open he got ready to stab or slash depending, the thing in the closet, on how it attacked him

Simovic stood aiming towards the door with his Pulse Rifle, he hoped to god that for Fox's sake there was no Xenomorph there, as he'd be a dead man if he tried to fight one with a knife. Everyman stood waiting nervously as Fox pulled the door open, exposing what was there...

"More guts'n a bear.." Jonsson whispered as Fox reached for the door. His tone didn't make it clear if he was feeling admiration or scorn, but he tightened his grip on his pulse rifle all the more, and aimed it upwards, his finger just off the trigger.

His mind registered how sad a thing it was that he now reflexively watched the top of the door frame as he scanned the site of the action for danger.

The door sprang open, but it was empty. Blood trails led up the wall and into the ventilation shaft. The grid appeared to have been replaced from the inside.

Fox put his knife away, his heart began to beat at his normal rate. He clicked his shoulder lamp on and peeked up through the shaft with his hand on the VP-70 as he scanned up with his light.

"If someone could give me a boost, I could try to make it up there after I cut the grill. Just have to use my quick release on this smartgun." Fox looked further into it to find out if theres any ledges he could use.

Simovic looked at the grill with confusion, if the person dragged away was taken by a Xenomorph would it really be able to replace the grill? Afterall it was pretty much an animal! "Ok Honeysett I think we can safely assume that the specimen has escaped and is starting to kill off the crew of this facility. What exactly are our orders, to destroy it? And how hell would one of those things replace the grill on the ventillation shaft?"

Inspecting the hatch Jacob absent mindedly bent down and ran his finger through the sticky blood on the floor, marking a smily face on his armour he stood back up.

"How the hell indeed Dugan, let's assume nothing. From now on I want us to be prepared to be facing anything from soldier to dragon."

Lighting a cigarette, Jacob adorned the eyes of his newest smily with ash-daubed pupils.

Turning round he strode out of the small room and took stock.

"Ok, this is how it's gonna work. Same plan as before - but you are not going anywhere alone. Even if you've gotta take a piss up a wall make sure you've got your fireteam buddy covering you. I also want you withing visual range of at least one other fireteam. Anyone sees ANYTHING they are to inspect with extreme caution under cover from another fireteam and report to us beforehand. If anyone plays heroics, even if it works out, then I will personally make sure that your blood makes up a fantastically detailed smily face on the back of my armour. Got that?"

Walking over to Dugan Jacob smiled "I'm gonna team with you, Bojan with Con - and we're going to provide morale and fire support between squads and fireteams. If anything is reported, the nearest pair are going to move up to inspect. Same rules apply to us as to the grunts, we clear?"

Roberts face contorted with confusion at whatever was going on. He kept scanning around, being near the back.

"Ivanov, you're with me. Schmidt, Quinn you're together."

"Aye aye!" Quinn moved smoothly to cover Schmidt. He kept the motion scanner out and one eye on it, the other eye in front of him.
