((OOC: We've been moving out this entire time, dude. Just so you know))

Ward turned and looked at Hor as they proceeded to move closer to the barricades and with renewed vigor thanks to the ever inspiring words of Gunnery Sergeant Screaming-Eagle. They had been moving the entire time. He wondered if Hor was joking or speaking in the context of moving slowly.

"We're being cautious. Better safe than sorry, right?" Ward whispered back.

Though he disliked the guy, they were in hostile territory so he would deal with the man. If only until they escaped from the hellish mess they had stepped right back into. Something told Ward the others disliked their company commander. He could definitely imagine why they would have a lot of anger centered towards him.

As Ward kept moving, he bumped into something else. This time, he tripped. He landed with a loud thud and cursed under his breath. That was a little bit too loud. He looked around for what had tripped him. He saw yet another black object, though this one was slim and its edge was pointy. Two thoughts when through his mind, he either tripped over a protruding piece of resin or that was the tail to one of their 'old friends'. Either way, he arose slowly and dusted off.

"So much for stealth." Ward whispered under his breath, than began to investigate what tripped him more thoroughly.

He approached where the 'resin' lead him and flipped down his IR scope, attempting to see any heat. It was almost impossible as the entire area was a heat source.

((OOC: It's up to you guys if you wanna make it a alien or not, though I want us to get into a little alien action, like from the movie. So, if one of ya'll wanna say it's an alien then we'll waste it. If not, let's keep moving!))

Something reached from the ceiling, its iron hard hands closed quickly on the shoulders of Private Ward, as quickly as it closed it snatched him into the shadow filled pipes that ran the length of the ceiling.

The previously quiet motion trackers began to sing as they picked up lifeforms closing in on the Marines.

WARD!!! FUCK!!! screamed Tyler as the man was pulled away in the blink of an eye. But before Tyler could say or do anything, the trackers started going off.

God, not this shit again...

"We've got movement closing in on us, trying to lock in", Tyler said as he desperately tried to figure out where the xenos were coming from.

Ward was being pulled through pipes by the xeno. No way was this bastard going to take him down that easily. He may have only been a private and a 'newbie', but he was still a Marine. And a Marine knew how to kill. He aimed his M41A Pulse Rifle at its back and pulled the trigger, feeling the weapon kick back againsr his shoulder as he was being dragged.

"Not today, motherfucker!!!" Ward exclaimed as the weapon unleashed a volley of red hot lead on the beast.

He hoped at the least the beast would let him go due to the sheer pain of the rounds impacting and peircing through its thick armor. If not, kill it. The last thing he wanted was to end up like his comrades, stuck on a wall waiting for the obvious death that would soon befall him. He was not going to die today. No way in hell. He was a Marine and soon-to-be husband. He had his platoon to live for and his fiance.

What Ward did not realize was that his microphone was on and his communicator set to the platoon E-Band. The entire platoon could hear his struggle as he attempted to fight his way out of the grasp of the creature that carried him higher and higher into the pipeline. The blood began to rush to his head. He ignored the feeling as best he could and kept his finger on the trigger, not even caring to look at the ammo counter to see how much ammunition was left in the weapon.

"God damn it! Let go of me you bitch!!!" Ward exclaimed as he continued firing his Pulse Rifle.

Petrova said, "Oh god, they run into those things." Petrova then turned to Sergeant Simovic.

"Sir, I think you should call a tactical retreat and blow this station to hell!"

"We need to hold here until the others get back. Then we can fall back and let the Sentry Guns do the work of holding them at bay while we make a run for the dropship".

Simovic then had an idea he pulled out the bandoleer which contained his last Claymore Mine. He moved in front of the barricades and positioned it so it was facing towards the route the others had walked down. Attaching some det cord he unraveled it and moved back into cover behind the left barricade, lastly he attached a clacker to the end of the cord. "When everyone is through here, before we abandon this post blow the claymore. Just remove the safety and press the clacker two times". Simovic pointed out the safety and demonstrated how to use the device.

Screaming-Eagle made a dive for Pvt Wards feet, missing by a few inches. Damn, he thought. He started to climb into the dark pipe to go after the young Marine. He stopped before reaching the pipe. The motion trackers started to whine. The sound was comming faster and faster.

"They didn't take long to regroup did they? Sir, we need to get to the drop ship and regroup. We have to move now sir?" He said as he moved forward

"Get ready for contact Marines. Don't give them an inch. Today is a good day to die!" He shouted to the platoon

When the transmissions started to come through of incomming Morse wasn't quite sure what had happened.

Then when he heard Ward sayin let go, he figured Ward was atleast grabbed by one of things

Morse saw Erika's glance at him, and he really wasn't quite sure what to say, he wanted to make a joke about not fixing Ward when they got back to the dropship, but he realized that there was a good chance Ward and the others weren't commin back

Fuckin shit, no breaks around here is there

<tag Erika

Morse still didn't have his M41A in a firing position, but if he had to, he would, he just didn't seem to have to yet.

I can dig holding here, but when they get back, we need to fuckin run as fast as possible to the dropship.

"Agreed." Morrison practically spat out the word. "Sergeant- get those men moving up front, I'll get the slackers in the rear moving."

Morrison then made his way back to the small group in the rear, who for some reason had stopped to banter, rather then just moving with the rest of the squads.

"Ok assholes!" Morrison shouted, as he let go a short, sharp burst from his pulserifle over their heads "Get your selves fucking moving! To the boat, on the double!" Morrison then started grabbing and shoving the rearguard marines towards Gunnery Sergeant Eagle, and the men he was leading.

Roberts heard that Ward had been lifted into the ceiling. He heard the struggle, and prayed. He hadn't known him for too long, but they were friends, and they were both marines. No marine should die like that. Like His friends Schmidt and Ivanov had earlier that day. He bit his lip, the old steel crawling back into his eyes. "No more. Not today." he whispered to himself through gritted teeth.

Schrodder crouched behind the make shift barricade, there was not really much point in having it, they would be lucky if the wall slowed the xenos down by half a second.
