Check players section if you are unsure where your character are!
(OOC: This turn is aimed towards the Marines that are set down on the roof. The other Marines, check pt 1.)
The dropships engines increased in pitch and the air brakes caused the air rushing past to rumble, shaking the ship like dice in a cup.
"Crap...sounds like shit hit the fan down there!" The pilot reported. The Marines in the cargohold could not see anything of the outside but their intercoms where already picking up fragments of the comrades radio traffic - And it didn't sound good. Not good at all.
The dropship bay of the dropship opened with a hydraulic whine and the air rushed in, tearing and pulling everyone and everything in the cargohold. Eager to pull them out into the darkness and send them plummeting to their doom several hundred meters below. It was raining outside and it took mere seconds for the Marines to be soaked. A red light shone and sent an eerie hue over the black painted faces of the Marines. Below yellow lights rushed past, the ship pitched back and the Marines had to hold on not to be sucked out into the gaping hole back in the ship. The light shone steadily red. The ship leveled out and started its hover a mere 20 meters above the roof of the building. The light switched to green and the marines immediately threw ropes out into the darkness of the night follwing after moments later.
The Marines repelled down the ropes as fast as they dared, gusts of wind almost sent them tumbling as the dropship had to correct but everyone made it down. Around them the cityscape of New York with its billion lights stretched out as far as the eye could see in every direction. The buildings looked like black silohouettes against the lead blue sky. A flash of lightning ripped across the sky followed by a thunderous roar...but there was another sound heard too. The sound of explosions and automatic fire. The intercom was filled with the screams and curses of the other Marines. The roof team gathered themselves and started moving to the sole access hatch that could be seen next to the large antenna crowning the building just a few meters away.
OOC: The roof is quite big. You are next to the antenna. There is a small hatch there that seems to be leading into the building. Optionally there is a door on the frontside but that requires that you climb down two steps to gain access to it.
If you have any questions just write OOC (out of character) and I will reply to them as soon as I can.
