Turn 15

The USS Costaguana majestically turned towards Earth. Now slowed down to normal drive. The ship glided through space, seemingly effortless, the Suns rays glinting on flat surfaces as it began the final approach towards Gateway. The breaking thrusters flickered a few times, sending gushes of white gas that almost immediately dispersed into the vacuum of space.

Gateway came closer - No matter how many times you saw it you found yourself awing at its immense size every time. It was dwarfed only by the blue Earth it orbited. A gigantic storm was forming on the surface below, its spider like arms rotating out from its center with long white arching arms. From the thousands of worlds surveyed by the ICC Earth still was one of the most beautiful.

A slight shudder could be felt throughout the ship as the USS Costaguana connected with Gateway.

The marines that were gathered on Deck 3 by the observation window quickly scuttled down the steel stairs. It was R&R time now!

Minuteman had arranged so that maintenance crew did the unloading and to, the disappointment of the crew, the reloading of the ship. Which meant that they would be going out within the next few days.

Minuteman led the duffelbag humping marines down the well cleaned walls of gateway to their assigned barracks. Minuteman stayed at the Officers Quarter a few blocks away.

The barracks was very clean and bright almost a little sterile in appearance. A large plast-steel window at the short end of the room facing the entrance with the two story beds along the walls. The air was clean and crisp. No smell of aerospace fuel, oil and human odours. The sheets where bright white and looked incredibly inviting after the uncomfortable cryo tubes.

Outside the window at the far end of the room the black depth of space and a billion tinkering stars made for a wonderful view. The stars moving slightly was the only thing that indicated the slow rotational movement of the station.

OOC: This turn you are free to interact with each-other or if you want to explore the Gateway either as a group or one by one. An excellent chance for some roleplaying and mini-adventures if there is interest. The new players will be introduced the next turn.

"Oh thank you god!" Ronald screamed when the marines got out of the ship. He whisteled happily all the ways to the barracks and only stoped if an officer told him to.

In the barracks he hurried to get everthing dibe then he went around asking all the marines if they wanted to go and have some fun, like playing some soccer or drink a bit if there were a bar on this station.

Pvt Bojan stretched extensively and sat on his bunk watching the other marines. After a while, he got up and went to find a library.
