Screaming Eagle stretched out his gloved hand and touched the woman.

The woman, startled, turned towards Screaming Eagle. She was in the mid thirties, her face pale, she looked extremely tired but relieved. Dressed in a simple gray costume with a white shirt, she looked like most corporate secretaries.

"Thank god you came...thank god" the woman suddenly collapses onto Screaming Eagle wildly crying.

Beyond the woman a man lies on the floor, an orange blanket covers the lower half of him. Large stains of caked dry blood covers the blanket.

The woman gains momentary control of herself. "Monsters, Dragons...everywhere...they came from the floor...the floor!...everywhere! Couldn't find Mrs Johnson..." the woman sobbed.

"...don't go there...they kill you all!" The woman pleaded looking up at Screaming Eagle, her face streaked with tears.

Upon seeing that, Zarb rushed up to the woman and the Lance Corporal.

"Ma'am, ma'am. My name is Pyro and I am a medic. I am here to help you. Do not worry and try to relax. Are you hurt anyway or do you feel any pain?"

Zarb scrutinised the woman for visible signs of injuries such as bruises and lacerations as he spoke ot her.

Looking at the commotion below, Jacob didn't quite know what was going on. Not wanting to ruin a moment where stealth might be required, he didn't call down - but strained his eyes. Was that someone he could see? Maybe shadow, who knows...all the same he tightened his grip on the flamer and tensed up. Who knew what could come spewing out of that hatch?

Ronald walked over with his smartgun pointing at the men, using the muzzle to remove the blanket to see what was wrong with him, he didnt breath as he did and hoped it would keep the smell away, he looked around a bit and then removed the blanket briefly to see what was wrong with the man.

Con didn't like this, he kept his rifle ready his finger resting firmly on the trigger.
"What the hell is wrong with that meadic" he said looking at Zarb "things could get bad fast and you run out with out a weapon. Are you an idiot?"
Con looked at the man lying down. It wasn't a pretty sight. Con had seen death but this was different, worse. He wasn't even sure if the man was alive or not.
"Whay now Eagle?" Con asked his squad leader.

Nick watched dumbfounded as Pvt Pyro went through the decontamination area to where the lifeboats were docked.

"Damn it! I told that rookie to wait till they brought any wounded out of the lifeboats and through decontamination. Cpl Morrison you had better go get your medic before he gets himself killed!"

Watching the weaponless medic run towards the ship. Jacob's heart sank.

'fresh meat...he better learn what's good for him and follow orders instead of following his medical training of helping as soon as he can - I don't want to be on the floor bleeding and to have his sorry ass shot to pieces as he runs to me instead of being carried to him where he'll be alive to treat me.'

Drawing on his cigarette he looked down at the murk "They sure are taking their time, if I can help it I don't want to be a one man platoon"

He tapped his comlink "what's going on down there. Is there a man down or what? I haven't heard shots."

He hoped someone would reply. While this job was fantastically low risk - the not knowing was killing him.

Eileen bit back the urge to add to the confusion by saying anything, leaving it to Morrison and Steel to deal with the errant medic for now. She was definitely going to have several very loud words with that man later about the concept of obeying orders though.

Instead she turned her attention to first squad, "Eagle, what's the situation? Is the lifeboat clear?"

Bojan stayed with his squad watching his squadmate Zarb get to where he wasn't supposed to be. With competent officers as Bojan thought the "easy eights" had, it wasnt too hard to stay alive by following orders.

Aiming his rifle at the woman Zarb was trying to help incase she became a threat, Bojan glanced at Morrison seeing what he was going to do.

"Private, get the hell back to your station, you just compromised the security of this unit." He turned to Con, "Kindly escort speedy here off this life boat and deliver him to the sarge."
He tapped his comlink "what's going on down there. Is there a man down or what? I haven't heard shots."
"Situation is clear for the moment other than Private Superman charging in here like there was no tomorrow. We have one breathing and one down. Seems the lower half of his extremities is gone."
Ronald stared at the others and was confused as hell, he just gave up and walked back to where he stood before, he decided to not give a damn til his confused and slow mind could understand what was going on....
"PFC. Green, cover the aft section of the lifeboat; PVT. Con after you have escorted Superman to the Sarge, cover the middle of the lifeboat. Priest, please send the probe back in, I want a complete sweep of the lifeboat from bow to stern. I will check out the fore. I want all eyes open for anything, I repeat anything. If it isn't human and doesn't respond vocally we drop it and let God sort it out later. Is that clear? Sarge, do we have an okay on the aforementioned orders Sir?"

"Cheers for the info, updates would be nice as often as you can spare them - it's tense up here, I've got zero visibility of inside the ship and when I see marines running to it I think there something going down, it makes your trigger finger itchy as hell - and I'm sure with the gun I'm toting you don't want any accidents..."

Jacob thought back, he hadn't meant that to sound as menacing as it had.

'oh well' he thought to himself. Nothing like a bit of insubordination to add spice to the day.

James chuckled, he needed a little levity to lighten the mood, "I will keep you up to date on the sit rep as often as possible. You know they make some lotion for itches like that!"

"They make itches, sure sir. But well...I'd sure prefer an itch to a dead squad ...y'know - anywho - you all take care down there. I know where I'd rather be - up here where I'm not in immediate danger"

Grinning into his mic, Jacob cautiously looked behind either shoulder...just incase he was in immediate danger.
