The hanger was a flurry of activity. The Marines of the 8th platoon ran back and forth, carrying equipment to the decontamination zone. The two Powerloaders lumbered about, each carrying impressive loads, seemingly effortless.

Private Pyro had his hands full directing the two helpers to his satisfaction. Mobile walls of transparant bulletproof plastics where interconnected and sealed tight by wrapping plastic foil over the gaps. Primitive but it would have to do. Once the decontamination zone was up and passed Pyros scrutinizing eyes the Marines went to gear up.

Locker doors where slammed shut, armor straps tightened and helmets where quickly put on as the Easy Eights prepared for war. Morrison stood at the armory handing out each Marines weapon as they passed him, M41 pulse rifles, M240 Incinerator units and Smartguns where quickly passed around. Steel hurried the Marines out the door and they quickly lined up in the hanger for the last minute sitrep before the USS Costaguana docked with the first lifeboat.

The previous rush of activity had finished and the platoon stood at attention, all of them armed and armoured up, facing the entrance to the decontamination zone. Nick stood facing the rest of the platoon, his rifle held in a tight grip on his left, quickly going over in his head what he planned on saying.

"Ok marines this is it. Once the lifeboats are aboard the plan of operations is as follows. First squad will enter each boat first and will clear it of any hostiles. Second squad will then enter and remove any bodies or wounded and bring them back into the decontamination zone where they will be examined and decontaminated before being dealt with by Private Pyro and his aid station. Remember no heroics, unless you can't help it, and watch each others back."

Nick turned to face Lieutenant Vincent, who stood to his left.

"Sir would you like to address the platoon before I have them fall out?"

Zarb was the last to collect his arms as he was busy with the setting up of the aid station and when he went to collect his weapon, all that was left was a pulse rifle. He took it along with 4 magazines while asking Cpl Morrison, "Corporal, are there anymore side arms left or perhaps a trusty combat knife? I am not going to use my knife for combat, it is going to be used for medical purposes and I do not want to contaminate it. Are there any more grenades left?"

Con checked his rifle for any faults and then started inspecting all the foreign Comm Tech gear. Con flicked on the motion tracker and watched the small dots representing the "easy eights" moving around.

Finally satisfied Con moved over to the stores and attempted to "liberate" an extra clip for his rifle.

Bojan wondered what he was going to do apart from moving bodies. It didnt seem like he would get into any combat, but was prepared for it anyway.

He walked over to Zarb and said, "If you need any extra hands, dont be afraid to ask me. I'm obviously not a medic, but I have done a bit of first aid and if i can be of some help, im here."

Bojan waited for an answer as he crept to where he was supposed to be.

James looked his crew over, he had to admit, things were not so bad being this squad's leader; at least so far. He stepped into line beside the rest of his squad and awaited the Lt's briefing.

Zarb happened to be at the store when Con walked over and attempted to get an extra clip for his pulse rifle. "Hey Con, if they do not have any extra mags, do let me know. I believe I can spare you one or two. I can survive with 3 mags as I may not be actively engaged in combat anyway with all that medical work that I have to do."

"Thanks buddy, I appreciate your kind gesture and will ask you for help if I need it but I can cope at the moment. Thanks for offering!"

"Oh uhhh thanks" Con said looking a bit sheepish "I don't really need it but the old ways, you know, the're really hard to get out of..."

From his vantage poing, Jacob looked down "So I rinse anyone who flees? Or do you want this burner in on room clearing?"

Grinning, he took a drag of his cigarette and observed the scurrying of the marines. He imagined spraying the flamer, he could execute every marine in this room at the push of a trigger. The power he held was tremendous, steadying himself Jacob looked sober once more and called out "Well, what's it to be?"

From his vantage poing, Jacob looked down "So I rinse anyone who flees? Or do you want this burner in on room clearing?"
"Jacob, I want you to initially set that thing for pin point burning. Flash anyone who refuses to stay in line. This might be my first mission, but by God, I refuse to make it my last because it turns into a cluster %^&*! Remember that the rest of your squad will be escorting the casualties in to see the medic."
James looked around the hanger to make sure everything was in order. He noticed that two of the dropships were currently blocking a clear path from the lz and the doorway. "Excuse me sarge, but I don't suppose there is anyway we could relocate the dropships and maybe form a corridor out of the apv's and some of that sheeting so as to limit the space? We could just herd them through like cattle to the slaughter pens!"
