Re: Turn 9: 2nd/3rd Squads

The Marines subdued and disarmed Carlson without any injury. Doc’s sedative took effect almost at once and the crazed Marine began to doze peacefully. (Success all round) Sergeant Major Sykes’ brows furrowed with stress. The suit was becoming very uncomfortable and he could understand poor Carlson’s...

Re: Turn 9: 1st Squad

The young woman looked distressed as if struggling to comprehend everything that was asked of her. “I don’t know, what was I doing when I came to my senses? I was standing by my door with a chair leg ready to… hit anyone who came in… I’m sorry. You think it’s like, an airborne disease? I don’t know ...

Turn 9: 2nd/3rd Squads

Private Carlson’s breath began to normalize as Doc spoke to him. He answered the questions with increasing calm. Lighting one of the cigarettes from his squad leader, he inhaled deeply several times and exhaled the smoke into the air. “I’m okay now, I’m sorry.” He crushed the cigarette out and got t...

Turn 9: 1st Squad

As Morse began his authoritative countdown, the man in front of the metal tanks looked a little stunned and the SMG lowered halfway to the floor. As the Marines looked on, they realized what the tanks were. They were reactor coolant tanks, and the neon green liquid was coolant. (Awareness check: all...

Turn 8: 2nd/3rd Squads

Doc melted through the locks and slid the broken door open. They all felt and heard a faint humming as they entered the room. Three long metal cylinders seemed to be the source of this energy. The squads fanned out to look for any more threats, but it seemed safe for now. Each of the cylinders was s...

Turn 8: 1st Squad

Morse, Paulson, and McKenna led the way aft through an open doorway. Davros was trailing at the back with his survivor. The room they entered was dark and had a higher ceiling then the rest of the deck. Their flashlights illuminated walls and ceiling of unpainted metal. A strange clanging noise was ...

Turn 7: Linking Up

Doc raised his pistol and fired two rounds into the nutjob attacking with the pipe. He fell like a puppet with its strings cut, letting out an inaudible sigh of air. He was dead. (Gun roll: success) Grisham saw that the forklift driver had no gun and he charged. Henniger’s shots pinged off the vehic...

Re: Novelization of Campaigns

Nine months have passed so I'll post another update. I took some time off from writing these books, but I'm back on the horse! I will post how many pages I have written in 6"x9" US trade standard paperback. And this is a low estimate because the final products will have additional pages for chapter ...

Napoleonic War Fiction

Hey guys! I figure I'll post excerpts from some of my writing projects here. This year I wrote about 30 pages of Napoleonic War fiction just for fun. Here is an excerpt: Corporal Janos Kellner watched as the sponger cleaned the barrel of the nine-pounder gun. Squinting, he saw the distant lines of i...

Re: Turn 6 - 1st Squad

“Affirmative, requesting assistance if possible,” came the voice of Sykes through the radio. First Squad made their way through the corridors and into the cargo room. Cargo crates were stacked or scattered about the room which had two large openings in the floor and ceiling. Apparently this was a c...

Re: Turn 6 - 2nd/3rd Squads

Kelly shouted a command at the crazed man with the pipe. The man ignored him and kept charging so he squeezed the trigger. Nothing happened. As he checked the gun he saw it had jammed on the first round. (Charisma Roll: Fail) (Gun Combat Roll: Critical Fail) The man with the revolver started shootin...

Re: Apologies

Thank you. It might be a total false alarm but I wanted to express how I've been feeling.

I have not been writing for the last month or so, but I am going to write this evening. I have two Colonial Marines books underway and I've also written about 30 pages of Napoleonic War fiction.

Turn 6 - 1st Squad

Golf Level: First Squad entered the Starboard side of the Quantum Herald. They found themselves on one of the middle levels of the vessel as the ship had settled partially into the seabed. Once the Marines and the mini-subs were in the airlock, they sealed it behind them. The pressurized water slowl...

Turn 6 - 2nd/3rd Squads

Oscar Level: Second and Third Squads both entered the port side of the Quantum Herald. They found themselves on the lowest floor of the vessel, which their blueprints labeled “Oscar Level.” Once the Marines and mini-subs were all in the airlock, they sealed it behind them. The pressurized water slow...

Apologies

Hey guys/gals, I'm sorry that I've been so slow on the draw the last few weeks. I did have a legitimate family emergency (turned out fine in the end, thank God) but I can't blame it all on that. I've been struggling to enjoy this game. I don't know why or whether it will last. Maybe if I have a bett...
