Cowboy gestures to Sonny.

"No more time. Let's get to the rally point and see if there's anything we can shove between those corpo scumbags and Wynn."

"Cowboy is playing the part of a kite as a duet. Follow the string to private contractors in gray. I'm not loving that they were already looking for us. They might already be watching for what we're looking for."

He says all this while looking at Sonny in the hopes it just looks like conversation ...

ACT II — KWAN UNDER WATCH
KWAN ORBITAL FUEL DEPOT — TRANSIT CONCOURSE C
RELENTLESS ARRIVAL: T-MINUS 71:09

The concourse smelled of overheated wiring, hydraulic fluid, and bodies that had spent too long between showers. Freight crews pushed loaded pallet carts through the crowd while refinery ...

Cowboy nods and smiles broadly.

"I love a bit o' eye spy."

He makes a mental note to add it to recon notes for the others.

"Let's find an access point for those cameras. And do you see a maintenance jack? Might secure the door if we're followed."

He keeps on walking, looking to make sure we ...

Cowboy will link up with Sonny and start a walk "to look at the other ships" and check out the route to Gate 12.

"We haven't got to know each other much, partner." Cowboy's Scottish accent is thick, and the western drawl he adds onto 'partner' is an awful addition.

"Not that this is the place to ...

Cowboy has moved most of his ruck to the Magellan. He went down to engineering to steal a set of coverall jumpsuits typical to the engineers, and roughed it up, tying it over at the waist. His handgun and a knife are tucked in at the waistband where the jumpsuit can be used to cover it. He stuffed ...

Cowboy nods to Soles, salutes.

"Henninger, let me know what your final gear list is for the mission. I'll try to get our usual load outs cleared for service, but it sounds like extracting our spy on Kwan's Depot will be out of our usual MO. I'm not sure if you want anyone on overwatch for the path ...

Cowboy begins hitting a couple buttons on a nearby control station and a small monitor begins a tally reading off the first objective at the top and a series of bullet points beneath.

Exfil asset Dana Wynn and intelligence package from Kwan Orbital Fuel Depot at Airlock 12, local time 1640. Exfil ...

Cowboy nods to Hooper. "That will hit the spot just right. First round is on me. We can toast the dead."

Fraser "Cowboy" Bruce looks alert, but his face has the thick, squinty look of someone who hasn't slept for a couple days. He's like most enlisted, he could sleep most anywhere, anytime, but it appears he'd been throwing back some Never Sleep meds. Not sure why. It's not like he'd known Fletcher ...

Cowboy is leaning his head back.

"Can't believe the LT did that. Sacrifice is one thing... But nuking that rock? Treaty is busted. Won't be a trace of those things left. Company won't be happy. They'll let us know it."

He taps his feet apprehensively. "We can expect some revision for our mission ...

Cowboy follows orders and when he sees the lieutenant arguing to stay, he moves a mag pouch on a sling over the LT's shoulder.

"Give 'em hell, LT and we'll see you there someday!"

But he does what's needed. What's important to the Marines. He boards the evac.

As the marines enter, he pauses to ...

"Back to back!"

Cowboy keeps up the withering fire on the incoming xenos, now with his shoulder and hip right on Grim so they can work together covering all the angles.

(Cue the panorama imax surround sound explosive gunfire scene)

Cowboy sees Grim pointing out the incoming tangos and prepares to open up a full auto burst of fire on the xeno scum.

The cavern becomes filled with thunder and lightning from pulse rifle fire.

Cowboy still has his pulse rifle up but he's looking over top of the sights as he scans the closing tunnel.

"We need to get the primary somewhere this throat can't hock it back up and out!"

He starts scanning for one of these fissures in the wall the xenos have been scrambling in from that will ...
