Two clean pistol hits to the head of the HK caused it to stagger slightly. This was the best chance they were going to get. Paulson stood and emptied his clip at the thing, “go, go, go!” He screamed.

<rapid fire>
<tag Sonny>

Sonny’s reply came in crisp and clear, but realistically how the hell were they supposed to stop a HK with small arms.

“Does anyone have anything heavier than a pistol we need some fire power here!”

He squeezed off another few rounds hoping for a lucky shot while he waited on a reply.

Paulson viewed the situation across the corridor, now he had two people trapped and why was Wynn constantly gesturing towards the case?

He noticed movement above the HK was changing angles to try and get clean shots.

“Sonny, fenrir actual, you are about to be flanked do you have an alternative ...

“Fenrir squad, weapons free, suppressing fire!” Paulson barked over the squad channel.

Switching to command he reported “ laying down suppressing fire try to reach objective if you can.”

The incoming fire reduced a little as fenrir opened fire forcing the opposing side to take some cover.

“Roger, hold position until further notice.”

Paulson and fenrir squad where obviously in a different section as no alarm could currently be heard.

“Is it for you? Or something else?” He checked.

“Fenrir listen up, make fastest possible route to designated location without breaking obvious cover report on arrival.”

Paulson personally headed towards the supply corridor keeping an eye all around him for anyone that would need to be designated as a potential enemy combatant.

“Jonah Kask sighted, he’s looking for something or someone, in crowd 10m ahead of my location. Hasn’t looked at me directly but if I made him he’s probably done the same to me.” Paulson whispered.

The warning came through and Paulson began a subtle scan to see if he could also pin point these people hoping to make them the hunted and not the hunters.

Paulson pulled up a civilian model data pad, encrypted but still looked the part. “Stay together but only loosely, spread out and slowly make your way towards the rondezvous quarters.” “Take it slow don’t look like you’re rushing but stay in visual contact with each other.”

Paulson headed out ...

Paulson had quickly briefed Fenrir on the importance of reducing their obvious marine like picture, weapons were out civilian clothing sensible sturdy work books maybe don’t shave try to look less clean cut and professional.

It wasn’t going well for himself, he looked in the mirror he still looked ...

“Fenris squad grab some food then start drawing gear, double loads of ammo and enough supplies for 4 days, I know that means the rucks will be heavy but we can always drop em if we need too. Meet in an hour for gear check and questions I should have talked with the Lt by then so there maybe more ...

Paulson raised his hand and waited to be acknowledged, once he was he stood. “Ma’am as we are going in covertly a) what will be our cover, b) what are our options for engagement and c) do we have any back up if it all goes to hell in a hand basket?

Paulson saw soles raise an eyebrow maybe he ...

“Yeah another drink would be much appreciated.” Paulson responded, he fell in with the other marines as they all vacated the area.

Paulson stood in silence and listened to the words. The ceremony was short and precise as a military occasion should be.

Finally it came to his turn he stepped up and dropped a handful of dirt from his hands then saluted, he might not of had much respect for the man most of the time but that could ...
