Just had a read of the handbook and there is a contradiction/bad example in it I'd like some clarification on if I may.
Section 4.1
All marines are issued the following equipment in addition to a M41A Pulse Rifle with two clips and a VP70 Pistol with two clips (the standard load of Pulse rifle magazines and VP70 clips are factored into your characters Combat Load so have no weight).
Yet in the same section the example character:
Example character *:
(* Character has a Strength of 12)
Clothing or Armor
-Light Armor & Fatigues
Combat Equipment Combat load: 20
-Pulse rifle 11
-VP70 Pistol 3
-Flares (6) 1
-Grenades (8) 2
-Knife 1
-Smoke grenade (1) 1
Combat weight: 19
Counts the weight of the Pulse Rifle & Pistol in to the combat weight.
Just want to get this straightened before I submit my updated char sheet.

Re: Clarification on the Handbook
The weight of the ammo is what you don't have to factor in. The weight you're given is weapon and ammo combined.
Current Gear
M41A Pulse Rifle, loaded w/canister shells
M4A3 Sidearm
Combat Knife
K52 Medical Kit
Flashlight, Flares (6)

Re: Clarification on the Handbook
Also, that gear isn't necessarily standard. You don't have to carry all of that. Its just what the general template is.
