Dugan: I'll look into seeing if I can find the Phoenix book on ebay or somewhere for a decent price....though it took me well over a year to find the Aliens book for less than 70 bucks! :)

Quinn: I have no idea what a storm bolter or nemesis weapon is; but I would guess it's from a video/computer game.... :)

As for the shotgun used in the films; I don't know if the 'real' M40 nades were actual shotgun shells or what; but the Pulse Rifles were working 'weapons' put together by combining a Thompson Submachine gun and a pump action shotgun (I believe a Remington 870, but I'm not sure on that) and some pieces of 'decoration' all around the frame of the guns.

If Nick and/or Dugan have no major objections; for later missions; I'd allow a form of 'cannister' grenade that's really a shotgun shell....but I warn you in advance; please don't go switching out shells and grenades all the time for whatever situation lies ahead...I find this kind of 'gaminess' annoynig in the extreme...the weapon is either loaded with shells or nades; not a combo at the same time! :)

lol, the storm bolter/nemesis weapons/chainsword/powerfist/bolter is all from warhammer 40,000 :P A futuristic board game.

Chainswords, powerfists and bolters being "Standard" weapons of space marines ^_^

Storm bolters and Nemesis weapons being more of what the special "Grey Knights" use :D And you have no idea what i'm saying xD

I personally would prefer a bolt pistol and power sword :3

I have found a website that includes a lot of extra weapons fans have created for the Phoenix Command Small arms combat system. I havn't been able to look at it in to much detail, but it maybe of use to you:

http://www.phoenixcommand.com/sacs.htm

Also with the Colonial Marines wiki that I created I did add descriptions for various grenade launcher rounds, that I copied from the Colonial Marine Technical Manual, you can find them here:

A lot of, if not all, of those weapons on that site seem to be modern weapons...that we have today already...

Yeah Max, I know the Thompson and shotgun combination. I'm going from the scene where Hicks was giving advice to Ripley about the rifle, where it has an under-slung 30mm grenade launcher. And in comparison with how people held them to their hands, they were smaller than twelve gauge shotguns.

But that's a debate for another time. I'd be perfectly happy to have those "shotgun shells" for the launcher. Beyond that, only thing I could think of would be some "starshells", flare shells for the launcher. Although that would be more of an RP thing. Other than that, I'm good.

Although this might be best for another thread, but we need some people with some flamer skills.

Dugan; thanks for the links; I've been taking a look at them; and it may lead to some new weapon types in the future....gotta finish looking it all over and giving it some thought; but thanks again for the links! :)

Quinn: I think in the future; the shotgun shell 'nades would be fine; and I could come up with a starshell flare; thought I don't think I'd make it a 'nade to be fired out of the pulse rifle; but I'll give it some thought.

CDR: The weapons from the links are 'modern' because they are from an RPG from the 80s/90s that dealt with 'modern' warfare rpgs.
