Okay Jar Heads we will be relaunching the storyline. Depending on who wants to do how much of a relaunch will be up to the mass majority.

We can either simply start a new mission with current characters or we can restart the timeline after the Marines first encountered the Aliens on LV-426.

I am open to a full reboot or simply a soft reboot. Real life has caused us to lag a little So I personally think a relaunch with new characters who know nothing of the "Dragons" out there will be fun to do. But that is just me.

as long as i can keep my actual char, i can live with anything.

I am good with people keeping their characters but it will be a rebirth. Ranks will be reset as well as skills. However, If you get the Players Guide as laid out with Nick and I back in '07 I think you get a little bit better characters because they are fleshed out more. Just my personal opinion though.

Alright gentlemen and ladies. Within the next month we will be starting over timeline wise. If you want to use your same character that is fine. I already have the beginning ideas for the First Campaign. It will be set within 6 months - a year of the Events of Hadley's Hope aka LV-426.

This post is acting as a Role Call. It is my intention to also make an Excel Spread Sheet with Drop Downs that will be used as a Character Sheet. While it is not attached to game site we will need to send them to my e-mail address (chtucker63@gmail..com). I will then organize the rosters.

Even if we only get enough for one squad that will be enough to get it going. I think the key at this time will be Quality over Quantity. I also would like to see a rebirth of daily posting but I am not gonna whine and fuss if it doesn't happen. So come on gentlemen and ladies let's do this thing.

Though in years passed I have been a staunch opponent to this idea, current circumstances and status put me firmly in the affirmative. I believe a reset of current characters is best for those that want it, though I'd assume that all of the old data will still be logged in the previous campaigns. Taking it back to a more sustainable, continuity will probably be for the best. Unfortunately I won't be able to play on it for a long time, but I definitely think the time is now for such a think.

Thanks for your vote Morse. All the old stuff will remain. Heck we could even play in that timeline again should the chance arise. Go make us proud sir!

I would hate to retire Roberts for good. But I am all for whatever idea you have Pale. I will make a character soon. I am on board.

Awesome. I am almost finished with a Google Spreadsheet that allows you to input numbers and it calculates them and inputs them in a third sheet that is the finished product. Just a few more things to factor in and the sheet will be complete.

The game has survived previous restarts. I say yeah lets blow some freshness into this game again!

I'm in for a restart, none of my characters so far have gone more than about 2 missions anyways, may just rebuild one and attempt to stay involved a bit more steadily.
