Quick questions:
1- Can anyone post in the reassignment thread or is this just for the Easy Eights from Invictus?
2- Who is the Senior NCO on this fantastic voyage?
3- *sarcastically* How is it that my character, WITH A LEADERSHIP SCORE OF 4, mind you, didn't become squad leader?

1.) Just for the rest of the Easy Eights. You guys continue in your Basic Training and the two will come together.
2.) SNCO is Dugan, and I'll be keeping him in that position.
3.) Most likely because your character is a former prisoner.

Given the circumstances of our recently removed mission, is any of it carrying over?
I ask mainly in regards to Dunn, as I remember fairly well his introduction, and would still push charges for what happened there.
And in regards to our arrival, where the hell are we arriving from?

Yes, the previous mission happened.
That would have been dealt with almost immediately after the mission by the Captain, in which Dunn could have chosen to go either with a court martial or an Article Fifteen (essentially pleading guilty for the minimum sentence or up to commander). I would assume that Dunn would have chosen an Article Fifteen, thus the Captain takes several things into consideration (which you nor the character know) and makes the decision about what to do. But what would have happened is that Morse and Dunn would have extra shifts of PT together and learning to work together under the careful watch of Staff Sergeant Dugan.
Out of character, this happens a lot in real military and police units when two characters really don't like each other and dislike working with each other. You can't have that in a unit, or it could fragment the squad and thus the platoon. And in a real military unit, that's not good and is dealt with almost as soon as it comes into the view of command.

I'm just the only one who stepped up here. He threatened to kill not just me but all of us. This aint an issue with me workin' with him, as much as an issue of the him being a loose god dang cannon like Cartwright back when I was in Bootcamp.
Don't forget it was direct threat, not some squabble

As my G/F, who is a former U.S. Army / Air Force Sergeant says,
To the characters, "You're both in the wrong. You both would have been pulled to the side, and asked what the hell were you two thinking? You both mouthed off to each other in front of not just the Captain during a briefing, but also the Senior NCO (Dugan). They both have the capability to destroy your careers, and you both should act not just like the Corporals you are, but act like Marines, not a pair of snot-nosed privates."
From my own experience, soldiers and Marines mouth off all the time. It happens. Suck it up.

Dunn was a Private at the time, and I don't appear to be getting this across right.
He
Threatened
To Kill
You
Me
And the rest of the platoon
And the rest of us weren't mouthing off, you seem to have forgotten what happened. We were in a discussion about additional payment, with the permission to do so. And then he threatened to kill us.
Lets Recap
We're talking about the mission as well as payment, with permission and participation of all officers present.
Dunn assaults his superior
Dunn threatens to kill everyone in platoon.
How do you figure this works? We got the mentally unstable one eyed wonder threatening to kill us all, and showing he's willing to do it.

I'm aware of this. I'm also aware that Dunn is the sole survivor of his previous unit and likely has a case of PTSD. The rest of the unit simply pressed a psych button that they didn't know was there. The fact that he is still capable of moving around is a medical miracle.
So Dugan as the SNCO would have had a very stern talk with both of you, separately and in private. This quite frankly is beyond Morse's control and to use a cliche, "This isn't a democracy."
Addendum: You cannot press charges, you can only request that the Captain give Dunn a Court Martial. Note, REQUEST. It's ultimately the Captain's purview and not yours.
If it happens again, that bridge will be crossed when it is there. Until then, the ruling stands.

I don't want him in my squad. And there isn't a damn thing a superior could threaten me with that would make me fine with it otherwise. You move me or you move him, but there aint a way in hell I can sit with that. And I still don't think mental patients (WHICH HE IS) are good to have out walking with this sort of group. Not to mention, combat efficiency tends to drop when you've only got 1 eye.

Okay, I see where you're going with this. Didn't realize I put you two together. I'll switch out Shepard for Dunn. I can understand that.
Unofficially from the Commander to the two of you, "both of you do anything towards each other again and there will be hell to pay".

I don't think that fits since I didn't do anything to provoke or attack him, yet he lifted me out of a chair, and threatened my life. Merchants law dictates I shoulda shot him, which given my agility score I very well could have done. But more so I'm thinkin given my agility score, I should have been able to avoid that whole situation.
Some people don't respect the rules, and I don't wanna be around those people.
But I didn't do anything that I shouldn't have here, nor am I, nor will I. Just workin' my rights as a member.

Merchant's Law isn't military law Morse. We've gone by the U.S. Universal Code of Military Justice in the problems that have happened here. We once had a senior NCO strike a superior officer and we went by that ruling.
What you're thinking is that you're a superior officer, in this case, you are not. You are a Non-Commissioned Officer, which is a lesser offense. It is, ultimately up to the Captain to determine punishment, not you. Dunn is not in your squad, be happy with that. I'll talk with Darkblade about the character.
