You're not the only 'rookie' here, boyo.

<---note the meager post count.

Now that you've joined you should read the players guide and download a character sheet. (they should be visible to you now that you've made an account.

It's right there on the front page.

After that, it kinda sorts itself out.

Or so I'm told.

Any vets wanna help out here?

Well, since it's thanks to you guys that I ain't the Rookie anymore, so I'll gladly help you out.

The player's guide gives you all the info you need to know to fill out a character sheet. You just gotta have an idea in your head of what kinda character you wanna run (I run an ex-pilot Smartgunner). You can try to diversify and make a character who's okay at everything, or one that's brilliant at one to the exclusion of all else, or any combination therein. Your call.

If you have any problems with doin that, just ask and me or some other bloke'll help you out. Once you're done your sheet, you just save it head over to the Character Upload area. From there, you just upload it, pretty simple. When that's done, just let the GM (Maxvale) or Dugan know and they'll guide you from there.

You get it done quick enough, and there might be a spot open for you in the current mission. If not, you might hafta wait out till the next one.

Welcome to the team, by the way. Good to have ya here.

Hey,

Like Rascal, I too, am, a rookie. I was wondering what the breakdown of existing specialists are? I read in the other posts that there are a mess of new snipers. But what's the breakdown?

from what i can gather, you have to level up to become a certain specialist or have a GM do it for you

...that is unless im wrong i am still kinda gettin to know the place

I don't mean specialist as in rank; I mean as specialization or MOS.

Medics are plausibly a good idea. People with support skills are also a plus. (I for example have computer skills. NO DOOR SHALL BAR MY PATH! and if it does?

I call in a demoman.

Maybe you could be that demo man.

It really depends on what you want your character to be. I chose to be more weapon orientated with my skill set as a Communications Operator. Either way, welcome to the Platoon and if you have any question's feel free to fire a message my way.

Cheers

Obi

Should I just pick up a straight M-52 Med kit this time and drop the M-41A-E2? Cus I think we have nothing in the med department.

In my many years of RPing, ALWAYS have a medic.
