Flame Thrower vs Acid

I was just wondering if any chemistry geeks amongst us know whether if you were to fire a flame thrower at an alien (or concerntrated sulphuric acid in real terms) would it destroy the acid?

Or would the acid even cause a flash fire?
I've wondered this also.
Be cool if someone knew. My chem days where back in '82. I honestly don't remember.
But I am curious tho.

Chances are it would turn it into an acidic gas instead of destroying it.
