Great post Dugan!

Normally You would have 4 Smartguns as each squads firepower is built up around the M56 Smartgun system.

awsome job, i love how organised this site is with its character system... im guessing this is like a shop for characters to choose which weapons they want? if so when my char is up and ready to roleplay, ill stick with the standard issue stuff lol.... but wat about the motion tracker and flares and such jw?

Everyone gets a standard loadout according to the wiki, which has that stuff according to your class.

There's already 3 Smartguns issued out. So only 1 is left available. Same with Scoped Rifles there's two available to the platoon but both have been issued out.

You can always check here to see what basic gear you get:

http://colonialmarines.wikispaces.com/S ... +Equipment

But with equipment that has a separate skill (Motion Tracker and Portable Welder) you only get them if you have at least Novice skill ranking in their skill.

I was always a pulse rifle man myself.  :) 10mm explosive-tipped caseless and an over and under 30mm grenade launcher. You'll never find a more Aliens oriented nerd. Just wondering, but I don't know if i'm in reserve or not, i've made a character and am waiting now. Please e-mail me or pm me. Drow_Ranger2011@yahoo.com

I also heard that we're not allowed to have a personal firearm? Like I know Hicks had an Ithaca 37 sawn-off I believe but like someone mentioned it was in the armory....

We have one (an Ithaca 39, which I made up) and its being taken out on the current mission. Basically we can't have personnel weapons because Nick hasn't got the rules for them.  ;D

A lot of our weapons limitations are due to lack of rules.

Oh, well that's terrible, but I understand. Lol. Some guy would be running around with an M1 Garand. (I read on this site about some guys arguing with you guys about why having said weapon would rock) Idiots out there would ruin it....

Yeah at the end of the day we are meant to be rping a military outfit, in which you use what your issued not what you want to use.

Yeah, but at the same time...It would be kinda realistic if a Marine could some how get a weapon that they like and use it. (Much like Hicks...) I'd love to haul around a shotgun in a holster on my back...Lol.

Well, we do have rules for the Ithaca 39.

Ranger2011 your in the US Army. What would happen if a grunt asked his NCO if he could use his own weapon?

On personal weapons, i took my own 1942 .303 Lee Enfield MkIV to the range on a qualifying shoot.  My CPO used his size 12 and tore me a new one.  :)  So worth it though!
