"I know that you've had training in mostly likely ethical procedures. I would agree with you, but if she pops one, then we need to exterminate it. Keep your distance." Kurosaki said.

The rest of it went mute for a moment as what he said opened a classified file in her mind.

Kill Me...

It was the same sentence she heard a moment before when the girl spoke. Now she was reliving a recording.
Accessing... Cleared - Weyland Yutani Classified File: 00388122
Thomas Kane -Executive Officer - Nostromo -
Archived and recorded by Ships AI and Undercover WY Unit "Ash"

Jean began studying the footage as if she were witnessing it through the eyes of another Android; an android named Ash.

"Do you remember anything about the planet?", asked the Captain. He was a tall man in his mid to late forties, scruffy beard, non-upkept hair, and wore matching white fatigues that most the crew wore at the moment aside for one of the ship's engineers who whore a shirt fitting for a Hawaiian vacation.

The man he asked, Kane, still in his underwear and with part of a nightgown draped over his skinny shoulders took a sip of his drink before replying in a scruffy voice indicative of a man who had a sore throat.

"... I-- remember some horrible dream about... smothering - and, and... Anyway, where are we?!"

"We're right here..." Replied the captain with a hint of relief in his voice.
"We're on our way home!" Replied a young, curly headed brunette. Followed up by a reply from Brett, the man in the shirt that clearly needed a vacation for real.
"Back to the ol' freezorenoes..." He said with a delightful laugh.

"Ahh.. Can I have something to eat before we go back?" Replied Kane

:::: Log Skip :::
- Later in the afternoon -

The crew was eating in a dining room -- a ship's dining room. The captain sat beside Kane, and Parker, the black lead engineer sat opposite Kane. The room was brightly lit, filled with chatter from the other warrant officer, and the navigator, a woman with blonde spikey hair.

"The first thing I'm going to do when I get back," Kane said ".. is to get some decent food..." Kane was happy, delighted to be back from whatever ordeal he had been through. The observer that recorded the incident, Ash kept his focus on Kane as if he knew that he was recording this for androids like her, and for Weyland Yutani to see. Jean felt a chill brought on by her emotional processor as she continued to observe through the eyes of Ash, an old Cyberdines system model.

"I can dig it man. I tell ya'..." Followed by some intelligible comment that Ash couldn't pick up with his audio processors. "... I'd rather be eating something else right now but right now I'm thinin' food." Jean didn't understand that but it seemed to get the attention of the women crew members.

"At least you know what it's made of," said one of the other crew members.

"Man, I don't want to know what it's made of -- I'm eatin' this!" Said Parker.

At about that point Kane leaned forward and began to choke.

"What's the matter man?" Parker asked. It was assumed at first that he choked on the food while laughing at Brett's joke but Jean could see through Ash's eyes the horrible pain written on Kane's face as he looked down at the table, not understanding what it was he was feeling, and why it hurt so badly.  "... the food ain't that bad, baby.."

"You chokin'?" Asked Dallas, the Commanding officer.
"What's wrong?" Ripley quickly followed.

Parker wasn't smiling anymore, Dallas placed a hand on Kane's shoulder as Kane went to stand up and choked even harder. He got almost all the way up before falling over backward onto the table.

"... what, what?!" Asked another crew member. Jean looked off in horror as she recalled the information. Kane fell back onto the table, and attempted to scream, but the pain was so bad that he couldn't scream. The crew began to think he was having a seizure at the point where Kane attempted to gasp for air. Brett stood behind his friend Parker and looked at him helplessly as Parker helped Captain Dallas hold him down. Kane attempted to shake and move his head violently from side to side as his arms retracted inward as far as they could before Dallas and Parker tried harder restraining him.

Parker picked up a utensil from the table and attempted placing it into Kane's mouth as he screamed through his teeth.

"I'm trying!" Parker yelled.

The struggling lasted for a few seconds more before there was a sudden cracking sound and blood suddenly sprayed through his shirt. With some kind of pressure released, Kane relaxed for a moment as the crew looked at him dumbfounded and helpless. Then, it started again; the young XO struggled back and fourth a few times while Parker and Dallas tried to hold him down.

Then the unimaginable happened...

It burst through his chest and shirt, a creature -- covered in blood, shrieking loudly as the crew let go and walked to the wall. Lambert, the navigator took a face full of blood and Ash watched from the other side of the table as if meaning to record the entire thing in his image processor. Ash even made an effort to keep it from being killed.

"Don’t! Don't touch it... Don't touch it..."
Jean jerked and flattened her body against the pipes. She closed her eyes tightly as she shut down the recall processor. The android actually gasped. She actually pulled her weapon for the first time without being asked and chambered the round that she secretly replaced back into her magazine for the second time since the mission. She re-opened her eyes and her emotional processor commanded her to take a deep breath.

Then, she returned to the girl and continued comforting her with her free hand, the other hand, weaponized, at the ready.

"Lippa, keep your incinerator at the ready. If the thing somehow comes out, then I want you, Lippa to incinerate the poor girl. She'll be dead soon anyway. Colwell, guard the rear of the column."
"Aye Sarge!"
Colwell moved back into the original tunnel to cover the rear of Section One and the tunnel where the Support squad would be coming from.
Support squad, This is Pitt. We read a contact behind your position. Say again we read a contact behind you. Be advised, we think it's moving under the water. "Command, did you hear that? We have a contact behind support squad."
"Damn! I knew there was something under the water here. Now maybe Kurosaki will listen to me if we make it through this shit..."
"Top, Sarge, Ya'll want me to cover Support on their approach or hold where I am?"

Morse continued his slow walk in reverse. At this point he was the only one watching the rear, but that wasn't a problem since the action apparently was going on way in front of them. Just as well, but the situation wasn't very good. A sort of claustrophobic nightmare with the darkness of the tunnel, matched with the rushing water beneath them. Bad things could happen and Morse knew it.

He heard both Monks and Stormhurst speak in a quick succession. Morse had no disagreement with what Monks had said, reality was he wasn't about to go swimming through this, runnin back the way they came would be safer. He would have a problem with blowing the tunnel. They were in New York, God forsake this city a long time ago.

"Only frags, it'd done been a bad idea to bringin them 'flasherbashers' down here. Half the platoons usin the 'red eyes' still, them flash gernades would fry your retina clean out even if your eyes closed with that thing down.... That's why I don't use it. Morse said noting that he had his shoulder light on. Morse had come to the conclusion that they'd have to rely on their firing accuracy for this one, and the throwing the little 'explosive pills' wasn't going to help them.

< Tag Raider

Morse kept the long M41A-E2 at his waist, the Bi-pod still down at the end of it. The green '300' pierced the darkness beside his face, and he continued to watch the water behind the squad taking a step backward every second. He kept a wides stance so slipping wasn't a possibility. He was ready for whatever was going to jump out of the water, or crawl down the ceiling. But Morse wasn't like the trigger happy troopers around him, who shoot up bugs because they show up white. Morse knew that he'd be able to figure out what was forward first, and then shred it before it got a chance to wave at him.

OBI's Post:
Meanwhile section 2 were working their way northward through the eastern piping. Sergeant Pitt walked point together with Serfeant Isichawa who held the motion tracker. They could easily read both section 1 and the support section to their west. Suddenly Isichawa halted, slowly moving the tracker in an arc in front of him. "What?" Pitt hissed. "I'm getting a strange reading here..." Isichawa showed the tracker for Pitt. At first he didn't see anything but then something flickered on the tracker display. "What the hell..." one second its there the next it's gone. "Yeah wierd...could be interference" Isichawa filled in. The contact flickered again, this clearly visible time for a few seconds. The contact moved north in the main pipe before it disappeared - Just behind support squad. "Thats a clear contact so either it is one of our own guys or it is...moving under the surface!" Isichawa gasped.

Realising that 2 Section had come to a halt, Obi kept his spacing and came to a stop as well.  Moving over the right hand side of the tunnel and propping himself up against the wall to take the weight off.  Trying not to think what the water contained as his boots were full of water and his socks and feet sodden.  The temperature was still humid and only sound was the drip, drip, drip of water onto his armour and helmet at regular intervals.  His rifle at the ready, Obi eyes’ kept up a constant scan of his surroundings.  Quickly looking back to ensure that the next marine up the line was still halted in position, satisfied Obi maintained his rear guard position.

It was a different sensation to feel water dripping on her body. She had only been without a jumpsuit once, and that was well before she was put in a shipping container with her programming book, extra spare memory drive, and drive downlaoder. She had disconnected herself from any Weyland Yutani feed, but the downloader transiever was on and ready to 'save' her, so to speak in case of any emergency. The problem was that she couldn't upload very well in the tunnels. So if anything happened to her, she wouldn't remember anything aside from stepping through the grate with the Marines. All her experiences, including that sensation of cold water on her bare back, the sounds of the wind finding some unknown opening to creat the draft of cool air that travelled in a light wind, the sound it made when it traversed the walls in an almost whistle-like song, it would be gone.

She enjoied the thought of seeing someone smile for non-malevelant purposes, or to make a friend and not have to worry about their immeadiate life expectancy. She wondered if these Marines had shoreleave coming any time soon. Her mental processor gave her the idea of meeting people's families, or sharing the vacation with someone.

She looked to patch again and smiled. What was that for? Her lips curved just a little, hopfully it wasn't noticable. She averted her gaze back to her surroundings as if scanning for a possible threat. There was too much going on in her processor right now and Jean was worried that her thoughts would show by way of pre-programmed body language dictations. She rubbed at the sports bra that shielded her from nudity and sat on her knees beside the gurney to hide the rest of her body; it was the polite thing to do so she followed her programming. Just like it was the right thing to do to give to the needy. She reached up and zipped her slightly damp flight suit up to the woman's neck now that it wasn't so wet. It would soon warm up to her body heat with that blanket that was also draped over her.

"Looks like you're lucky, you and I are almost the same size. It's nice being skinny as a stick isn't it?" Jean tried her hand at a joke that conveyed a compliment as well as to keep her mind off of the fact that they were in a sewer.

Jean spent just about as much time learning what life had to offer as she did paying attention to every sensation to help the Humans. Yes, she android could hope, and she hoped that her, and the men she travelled with would be able to all make it out, and take their experiences with them. She held onto the scared womans hand that the Marines had found in the sewers, hoped she too would have more nights to live, and smiled at her.

"My name is Jean," she reminded her, hoping she would respond this time.

((OOC: Can I write for the NPC character? Or is this something I have to stay away from? I'm very good at handeling NPC's from my previous writing experiences. Let me know, I can create some great dialogue.))

as jean slipped out of her jump suit patch couldn't help but glance, holy shit she was hot. he knew some were deep in his brain that this was probably against military regs, but right now he just didn't care. then just when he was thinking that his day couldn't get much better she made eye contact and smiled.

patch went back to avidly scanning his surroundings and was trying to push the thoughts he was having to the back of his mind. how the hell would you go about dating someone like that, she was stunningly good looking in his opinion and then there was her intelligence she kinda knew well everything didn't she? she was gonna be stronger, faster, better than him in every way, what could he hope to interest her with.

patch had now gone back to scanning properly, he was annoyed at himself for spoiling his own good mood. "idiot" he mumbled to himself, then looked round to make sure no one had heard him. as he did so his eyes again played over jean kneeling next to the gurney. she was chatting compassionately with the survivor looking at ease and comfortable despite the cold and wet around her.

patch had sudden concerns he had seen jean react very differently a few minuets ago jerking away from the young lady and then loading her weapon again, sly girl he hadn't even noticed her unload this time, he switched to a private person to person on the comms, he knew it was still recorded but this was as private as u could get when in action.
"jean, this is patch, you know she is probably compromised I'm sure, what are you going to do if she um "delivers" while u are escorting her, that's if they let you go? patch asked.

Jean looked from the girl to Patch. Her gaze was steady, cold, and emotionless, just like her response.

"Kill it."

eyeball wrote: "roger that, targets to the rear of our position possibly submerged" replied patch. "you hear that sarge?" patch questioned.
"you want me to report the survivor and the new contact to the Lt?"
"Roger that Patch, Support Squad I want you to take a defensive position and hold. Command squad do the same facing towards the contact, First Squad keep watching the area in front. L.Cpl Sheppard I want you to use your flame unit and fire towards the water hopefully it will draw whatever the target is out and we can then deal with it".

"Wey stay with the women for now, we can't risk moving her at present, plus we need you as our guide. Quinn will take a look at her when he has a chance".

Simovic then took up position with the rest of the support squad scanning the tunnel towards where the contact had last been picked up.
