The gunfire struck the marines like they had they head inside a metal barrel while someone struck it with a bat. The pressure wave and sound level was incredible, the hard surface of the tunnel pipe also gave the sounds a rapidly dissipating doppler echoe. The things on the wall were struck by the light armour piercing explosive tip rounds and were torn to pieces in a flicker.

The Marines of Section 2s ears rung fiercly.

The contact on the motiontracker momentarily stopped and then continued towards the northwest.

Kurosaki was not of Section 2, but he heard the gun fire none the less.

"Jesus H. Christ! Who fired over there? Any contacts?"

Dirk's ears rang loudly as he looked around franticly for any enemy contacts.
"Hold your fire! Hold your fire damn it!" Dirk shouted over the comm.

Morse's head shot down with the pounding sound of the rounds echoing off the walls. His finger slipped off the trigger to avoid firing shots himself. He didn't know what it was at first, but he quickly pinned to the sound of one of their own regulated weapons. Being on rear guard he didn't see who fired, or at what, but there was no mistaking the sound.

"Shit!" Bishop yelled right after the shot came about. Regaining his posture he looked back. "I aint done heard no order fire!, What the hell are we doin!?" Bishop yelled back. He kept his eyes on the rear, and he didn't see anything. His light panned through the darkness but revealed nothing. He didn't like what he was hearing from the front. In his mind that meant someone wasn't doing what they were supposed to. Whether it was someone jumpin the gun or somethin else, Morse didn't like people taking liberties, especially not in a place like this.

"Well that sure announced our presence to everyone who didn't know we were here yet. Dam that was loud". As the echo reverted down the darkness of the tunnels.

"Morse, need we stop for awhile so's you can change your depends", Erik joked with his buddy.

But Erik doubled his scanning and double checked all the dark spots twice.

This is Obi's reply:
The things on the wall were struck by the light armour piercing explosive tip rounds and were torn to pieces in a flicker.  The Marines of Section 2s ears rung fiercly.
As the ringing in his ears died away, Obi smiled grimly as that thing was torn apart by the 10mm AP rounds.
Kurosaki was not of Section 2, but he heard the gun fire none the less.
"Jesus H. Christ! Who fired over there? Any contacts?
Speaking quickly into his headset Obi responded.

â€œAll call signs this is Golf Romeo 2,  just taken down some kind of creature, it was crawling along the walls of the tunnels, be aware they appear as an off-white colour on your IR, and they ain’t no local rodent, over.â€

Simovic thought all hell was about to break lose when the firing started but as quickly as it started it ended.

"Ok Roger that Sgt. Pitt get someone check out whats been hit, over".

Simovic then went back to following First Squad who were involved in their own tense nightmare.

"Roger that. Dirk said over the comm

"Morse, keep third ready. Monks, up here with me. Lets see what was hit. Lets move it"

Dirk walked quickly keeping his eyes and ears open over to what ever was hit. Looking it over with his light he tried to figure out what it was.

Morse's ears still were ringing somewhat from the shots, and didn't hear what Stormhurst said. Though he did see the soldiers mouth moving and a smile on his face, obviously meaning he had shot some snide comment at him. But before Morse could ask what he said, Dirk was already giving them a directive. Morse turned at the directive to note that Dirk was taking Monks forward with him.

"Watch your walls, Pitt." Morse said as Dirk started a quick advance forward.

< Tag Dirk

Morse then turned back around. "Stormhurst, Hicks, keep em covered. Eyes forward and watch the walls." Morse said returning to his position at the rear. He flipped down the bi-pod on the front of his gun. He decided it would be best for them to cover Dirk and Monks, because the two eyes in front would work better then two eyes on the back

Aye, Cpl Morse.

Erik watched Sgt Pitts and PFC Monks advance on the pitiful pile of whatever, just a fading glow in his IR monocle.

He watched for any type of movement around them with his rifle at the ready.

<roll awareness, perception and increased alertness.

Stormhurst approached the white lumps of slowly cooling biological matter. He prodded the lumps with his barrel and it still moved slowly. He risked flicking on the light momentarily to get a better view - What he saw made him repulse slightly. The white lumps appeared to be some kind of small transparant worm that clung together in large colonies.

"What the hell, A bunch of slimey worms"

"Good shot, you snuffed some worms"

"Does Jean have a database on these creepies?"

"Hey Morse you want one to start your collection"

LCpl Stormhurst wiped the goo from his rifle's barrel and checked the bore to make sure it didn't get plugged or anything. And he glanced around looking for anything that might be lurking. The slimey worms creeped him out abit.

Dirk looked at the things. Worms, he thought.

"Command, are you getting a look at thei?" He asked over the com.

Morse walking in reverse came up to where the others seemed to have taken up position around a group some organic matter. It was something he hadn't seen before, but he didn't like it. It seemed to be a large group of worms, and Morse didn't want to so much as look at it, let alone touch it. He kept his eyes on the rear, to ensure that while they played with their new find, they weren't going to be hit from behind. Mainly because it would be his fault if that happened.

"Our position done given away over a damn pile a worms meat. That's efficient." Morse said sarcastically. He didn't like what the result of the shots was, but now that it had happened, they'd have to be ready for the results.

Jean looked down at the collection of worms and nodded to Raider.

“I’m sorry to confirm that this couldn’t have been your original target.â€
