The fight was on, the creatures came charging down the corridor completely regardless of their own survival - On the contrary they were so eager and agressive they almost elbowed eachother to get first in place. A solid wall of furiously screaming and squirming grey exoskeletal bodies approached position II. Stormhurst depressed the firing trigger of his M56 servo mounted smartgun. The gun vibrated slightly but sent a steady stream of death into the closest alien, which was struck all over the head and left arm. The creature fell over with a snarl and was immidiately overtaken by another. Stormhurst let go of the trigger after just a few rounds, the auto targeter selected a new target for him and he fired again. This time the creatures where even closer - But his servo assisted aim was true and another creature fell after getting it's chest torn apart by the heavy M56 slugs.
Now the other marines of position two joined in with their pulse rifles and pump action grenade launchers. Morse fired two short controlled bursts, the first went wide, perhaps of exitement and peppered the steel just left of the closest alien in a shower of sparks. His next burst was better off and completely severed the right leg of an alien which momens later where struck by another burst square in the chest - Fired by Corporal Honeysett. The alien fell without a sound.
Honeysett followed up by blasting a grenade down the corridor from his pump action launcher, the grenade missed the first two alies but struck a third which came leaping behind square on the head. The grenade entered the skull of the creature before exploding the whole beast form inside in a thick explosion of fire, exoskeletal body parts and thick yoghurt like acidic blood. Shrapnel from the round also superficially wounded two close by creatures, white blood seeping out from gashes on their long oval heads. Undeterred they charged closer, shrieking.
Pitt fired a long burst of fire down the two wounded creatures which both where engulfed, shrieking in anger or pain, who could know, the creatures fell to the floor squirming. Their tails lashed the walls so fiercly that the platings where torn lose and came flying down the hall. The incinerator roared again and ended the two nightmares misery before they could get on their feet again.
At position one Dugan, Patch, Heart and Steiner heard how position one was attacked. Moments later two blips separated themselves from the main stream and came towards their corner. The Aliens didn't even slow down, one ran on the wall whilst the other slipped and slid on the floor grating. Their legs pumped fiercly as they charged towards the marines, as if oblivious to their impending doom. Dugan fired two short bursts, both striking the creature square in the chest. To his suprise the creature still came boring down towards them, although significantly slowed by the impact of the 10mm explosive tipped light armor piercing. Windrider tried his luck and fired a short burst, missing alogether. He fired again, the creature still rushing towards them. His rounds took both in the leg and in chest of the creature which finally fell to the ground and skid several meters before coming to a halt. The other alien lept over its fallen comrade with catlike agility and came boring down - A wall of flame engulfed it, but it still came towards the marines. Patchs M41 roared fiercly, cycling round after round so fast it almost felt like one long push rather than individual recoil strikes against his shoulder. The first rounds struck the floor due to overcompensating the climb, but as he continued the rounds found its mark hundreds of a second later. The impacts twisted the creature sideways, severed its arm and finally tearing its face clean off in a bright flash as a 10mm round exploded inside its mouth.
Patch kept the trigger pressed in panic and the weapon continued cycling, the ammo counter rapidly sank as he kept pumping rounds into the burning carcass that had now fallen to the ground a mere five meters in front of him.
Meanwhile at position V O'brien and Jonsson was awaiting the elevator anxiously. They heard first how position II opened up and then shortly after they heard automatic fire and the unmistaking roar of a flame thrower from position I as well. Both turned away from the elevator when the firefight started, just for a few seconds.
That was enough...
Suddenly and completely without warning a long fingered and clawed hand punched through the webbed elevator gate and grabbed O'briens shoulder armour. The claws tore three long gashes into the metal and pinned O'brien helplessly agains the elevator gate. Jonsson spun around and quickly grabbed O'brien trying to tear him lose but he was held firm. Behind O'brien Jonsson saw how more creatures entered the shaft from below.
At position IV Quinn and Lippa saw what was happening near the elevator. They needed an alternate escape route. Just near Jonssons struggling feet as he wrestled to try and get O'brien free Quinn saw an air duct exhaust, perhaps a meter and a half in square - It should lead out or at least away from here and he quickly lead his troops towards it before moving to help Jonsson with O'brien.

OOC: I might have gotten some people positions wrong, to my excuse I must point out it is quite a feat synching 18 peoples individual ideas of a situation on a paper with just a few words of direction. Regardless I hope I have gotten it somewhat right, I have spent more than 2½ hours on this turn alone with all combat, map drawing and not least trying to figure where everyone are! If something is way out west let me know and I'll correct it. Game on!!!
