When no more marines asked any questions Lt Anderson pressed the button again and the image changed to a computer schematic of the simplest kind. "This is the research station, You will get a datadisc with all briefing info including this map once briefing is concluded..."

OOC: See attached map of facility. Tip: Click on the paperclip file name beneath the image to save file for easier viewing.

Dirk looked over the map that was he was given. Seemed like a standard station. He shifted slightly in his seat as he thought about the Marines on LV-426, what had just happened and what the hell was in those damn containers.

He put a cigaret in his mouth but didn't light it yet. He just waited for what was comming next.

Obi signed the waiver when passed to him.  its good to see that the universal constant of paperwork still runs the Corps.  "When do we ship out Ma'am?"

"...Thats the reason why we will get two advisors with us..."
Private Michael Johnson slowly put his hand in the air after signing the waiver, unnerved.
"Are these advisors from the Weyland-Yutani Corporation? Or a more specific question, is this mission in military jurisdiction?"

Even fresh out of Boot Camp, Johnson has heard rumors of the Corporation, mostly bad.

" damn good question"patch muttered, if this was not a military op, he was damn sure it would be the second a shot was fired, sgt Simovic might be a hard core ugly mofo, but he took no shit and kept his troops alive. the civilians could think what they liked the marines new who was in charge.

Morse was next to Dirk and reached into his pocket and grabbed the flask that he kept with him at all times. He and several others had worked together in their time to make a few pints of "Homebrew", which was really a Propylene Glycol based drink which was very similar to peppermint shnaps, that a few people knew how to make. He took a drink from the flask rolled his eyes and put it back in his pocket.

Ya figure they acually know what they're talkin about this time... or is this just another, make it up as we go mission? Morse asked Dirk in his usual sarcastic southern tone

Obi nodded in firm agreement with Johnsons' point.  " Johnnos hit the nail on the head with that point.  Will having these advisors along change our Rules of Engagement?  I mean the last thing we want is power struggle over who has the say so when we could rounds coming down range at us."

"Are these advisors from the Weyland-Yutani Corporation? Or a more specific question, is this mission in military jurisdiction?"
Lt Anderson replied "This is a military operation as the CSC, formally at least, still own the research station. The two advisors are from Weyland-Yutani, one of them is a bio-engineer and the other is a corporate lawyer."

Johnson sighed with relief, settling back in his seat and taking out a cigarette. Instead of lighting however, he just shifted it around with his lips. He was still quite nervous being on his first mission. But he was a Marine, and Marines get the job done.

"This is a fairly recent satelite image of the site. The research station is situated next to a rather high ridge, this was made to shield it from the violent and unpredictable weather of the planet. To the direct west of the station you have sulphuric bogs and marshlands. The ground is very soft there and unsuitable for landing"

Lt Anderson grabbed a laser pointing device and pointed at the image.

"We will need to recon the site prior to drop to establish point of insertion. My suggestion from what I can see here is that we land on the middle ridge, here, to shield us from the worst weather, due south of the station and then go down to the research station using ropes" She said.

"The term clusterfuck comes to mind. Besides, How could things go wrong when Weyland-Yutani sends a bio-engineer and a corporate lawyer to keep us safe?" He whispered in a sarcastic tone.

Morse began to laugh quietly, and choked on a drop that was in his throat. After a brief moment of controlled coughing he was fine.

Of course, cus the company doesn't keep secrets, they make that everyone knows everything before they take people as lab rats. Course that just means these company reps'll be as screwed in this as we are so that might help us a bit. Morse said a bit more seriously. Because unless they were androids, the company reps would still want to get out of there alive as well.

"We will need to recon the site prior to drop to establish point of insertion
patches ears picked up, were they planning a small recon drop first? patch remembered his infiltration training special ops, now there was an adrenaline blast...but to do it for real, well he was probably more suited and defiantly more expendable than Quinn, so if they were dropping in recon and they needed a medic, he guessed he was it.

Dirk smiled humorlessly as he shook his head. He looked over at Morse.
"The term clusterfuck comes to mind. Besides, How could things go wrong when Weyland-Yutani sends a bio-engineer and a corporate lawyer to keep us safe?" He whispered in a sarcastic tone.
Johnson laughed quietly at this, overhearing the whispered conversation and put in.
"You can say that again. This whole thing sounds messed up, and the Marines that were sent to LV-426? Where are they? I don't know about you guys, but I have a bad feeling about this. Well, this is my first, serious mission since training but still. I don't like it."
He finished in his whispered tone, then taking out a lighter and finally lighting the cigarette hanging from his mouth.

um will there be a dropship and apc stationed on site at all times or do we ahve to call it back down fromt he dropship mam? also what will be the armament and gear load of our apc's and dropships?
Nodding at this as he looked over at Private Lippa, he twittled his fingers on his holster carrying his standard-issue VP70 pistol. He was thinking about seeing action, then again, maybe staying back at Gateway as a technical assistant would've been a better idea...
