Things were getting hectic very fast. The bulldozers kept coming forward, but the infantry were still covered behind the bulldozers. If they wanted to catch the revolutionary guard out in the open, somebody would have to take out the dozers.

Thinking quickly, he checked the grenade launcher of his M41A, seeing that it was filled with 4 High explosive grenades. Working the pump action, he took a deep breath. This was it. Do or die.

Then, in one quick movement, Tyler leaned out from behind a wall, took aim, and pulled the trigger on the grenade launcher, his M41A kicking back from the recoil, as the high explosive grenade sailed towards the left bulldozer.

Quickly getting back behind cover, Tyler waited and listened for the tell tale explosion that would determine weather he took out the dozer.

Dugan grabbed the firing controls for the turret mounted on the APC. The controls were simple, You aimed at Your target with a big white crosshair, measured distance with one button and fired the light disruptor with the other. Dugan placed the crosshair over the right bulldozer, measured the distance, 377 meters and pressed the fire button. The light disruptor fired a half-second later, the sound reminding of a thunderclap and the screen white out for a split second as the white glowing thin line from the round travelling at near light speed illuminated the terrain. The round struck the ground just in front of the bulldozer, a shower of sparks and glowing rocks flashed and a huge plume of dust completely enveloped the dozer for a few seconds before it emerged.

The Dozer stopped, jerkily and aligned it's autocannon and fired back at the APC. The rounds rushed towards the APC insanely fast and impacted all around it with sharp bangs, splinters rattling of it's armor like gravel thrown at a steel roof.

Ishizawa fired four grenades in rapid succession at the left dozer. The pulse rifle kicked his shoulder hard for each round. The first round sailed through the air and struck it dead on. A white flash and a shower of sparks appeared on the dozer. The next two rounds missed and they tore upp the ground around the dozer, violently spewing up dust and clumps of dirt. The last round also struck the front of the dozer with similar effect. The dozer slowly ground to a halt, black smoke bellowing out from it's engine compartment. The door on the dozer opened slowly, with smoke rushing out, and the two crew inside stumbled out and took cover behind a few rocks nearby.

Octavius dodged the bullets on his way back with the smart gun, Windrider also made into position without being hit.

Erika aimed her pulse rifle and fired it on the confused group of rebels behind the knocked out dozer. They where clearly hesitant to move out of cover. Probably due to the demoralizing effect of losing one of their armored fighting vehicles. Her round missed by a great margin, but the rebels heard it and dove into cover behind the dozer again.

Monks ran towards Mongo, firing wildly from the hip. He struck nothing but since most rebels now where hunkering down from the more and more accurate colonial marine fire no one fired back at him.

Hunkering down into position behind the defences Mongo noticed the running marine firing at the enemy troops with rapid bursts.  Staring at the firing marine intently he tried to remember the marines name, but seeing as he hadn't been properly introduced to everyone he was having a hard time trying to dredge it up from the depths of his memory.

Resting the smartgun on the top of the hastily made sandbag wall Octavius turned on the motion detector and then eyed up any likely targets.

"Corporal Silvanus, Private Ishizawa do either of you know who the crazy marine running towards my position is?  I'm trying to remember his name but it seems it has escaped me." said Private Mongo his accent noticeable over the comm unit.



Watching the running marine while trying to keep an eye out for groups of enemy troops he could suppress with smartgun fire Mongo yelled towards the crazy man.

"MARINE!  MARINE!  GET OVER HERE, I WILL COVER YOU!" yelled Octavius towards Monks, firing short bursts at any enemy troops that seemed to be firing in the direction of the running Monk.

Heading inside to get the scoped rifle, Windrider had a glow about him...the fact he gets to grip a beautiful rifle and reach out just made him rather giddy.  Like a school boy peeking into the girl's shower after gym class.  He composed himself as he gripped the rifle and slung it over his back and then took the same path back to the hill and get set up for his shooting practice.

As he kept the objects between him and the incoming infantry he couldn't help but wonder how live targets will be.  All the target practice he did with moving and still targets, live will be a whole new dimension...so envigorating.

Erika spotted the rebels. She took cover and she aimed her rifle in that direction, as soon as somebody would point their nose she would fire.

[Dugan]

Simovic, cursed as his shot missed its mark, waiting for the weapon to reload he lined his target up again this time taking longer to make sure his aim was true before firing. While doing this he spoke to Kurosaki "I need you to try and lay down some fire on the incoming troops, check the secondary weapon systems there should be a mortar system on board"

After hearing the 4 explosions go off, Tyler peeked out the window to see that he had knocked out the bulldozer on the left, with the vehicle smoking and the crew abandoning it. He couldn't help but grin, first time in combat and he had already taken out an enemy vehicle, even if it was essentially a poor man's tank. But this was no time to celebrate or get cocky, the battle was just unfolding.

Getting back behind cover, Tyler reported in on his comm at the same time he reloaded his grenade launcher.

"This is Private Ishizawa, one enemy dozer taken out, moving onto the next one"



He finished reloading and was about to begin unleashing another barrage of grenades on the second dozer when he heard Mongo over the comm.

"Corporal Silvanus, Private Ishizawa do either of you know who the crazy marine running towards my position is?  I'm trying to remember his name but it seems it has escaped me." said Private Mongo his accent noticeable over the comm unit.

Tyler looked around, only to see Monks running towards Mongo out in the open.

"Jesus christ that's Monks! MOVE IT MONKS WE'VE GOT YOU BACK!!!



Instead of firing at the dozer, Tyler brought his pulse rifle up to his shoulder, with the rifle set to full auto, and fired short automatic bursts in the general direction of the revolutionary guard. They were laying low so hitting them wasn't going to be easy, but his main concern now was Monks getting to cover safely.

''All I want to do is kill the f@$*ing rebels", Monks yelled through the pulse rifle rounds.

Hearing Ishizawas message through his earpiece Mongo mentally tagged the running marine as 'Monks'. 

"Copy that Ishizawa.  For a man named Monk he is not very peaceful!" quipped Octavius as he tried to spot viable targets.



Still laying down covering fire Mongo watched the running marine get closer.

"MONK YOU CRAZY MAN YOU KNOW YOU CAN KILL REBELS FROM BEHIND COVER!" yelled Mongo towards Monks.

The man may be as crazy as one of those people in an asylum but he had big brass balls thought Octavius to himself.

patch heard the engine of the dozer die as the distinctive thump of high explosive grenade rounds slowly faded...

nice shot Ishizawa, anyone see were my frag rounds landed can't get a clear line of sight from here

"Jesus christ that's Monks! MOVE IT MONKS WE'VE GOT YOU BACK!!!

patch had been looking back down into the main camp area and could see monks dodging and weaving as he fired...quickly popping in a M59C smoke grenade patch fired the round to block the line of sight of the rebels, it wouldn't stop the incoming shots but it would make him harder to target ...

"Good work marines, remember to stay in cover and make your shots count. Don't forget your grenades either."

Sliding out from cover Silas shot off 3 successive rounds then dropped down again

As far as the action went on, Erika noticed that she was separated from the squad, that was not good.

She used the intercom and communicated her position to Dugan.

Sixtus saw one dozer go up, mentally scratching that off his list of things to do. Now that there was only one target, Sixtus popped down his IR vision that luckily included a rangefinder. Checking the range to the last dozer, in this case 370 meters. Adjusting his rifle, he aimed and fired four grenades at 380 meters to get the infantry hiding behind the dozer.

Ducking back behind cover, Quinn ran after Collins to cover his back, sliding into cover as he did.

"One dozer down." was all he said. His tone and body language implied that he was not just frosty, but ice-cold.

Erika was somewhere nearby the containers, she needed to link up with the platoon, first of all she communicated her coordinates to Dugan, then she needed to locate her squad, so she used the intercom to launch the following message

"Here Hoffmann, 2nd squad locate yourself"

In the meantime, Erika kept watching the group of rebel in her fire area.
