M1T2

[S. Collins]

Collins was covered in a thin layer of black dust, when he entered the ruins together with the other marines of his platoon. He pulled the shemag under his chin and took a deep breath of the fairly cleaner air. He brushed his shoulders off and stepped up into line.
His heels knocked when the lieutenant stepped up to the waiting marines, gaining their full attention for a short briefing upon the situation.
Sean was surprised that the shit was about to hit the fan already. Para-military whacking marines out of the colony? That meant serious shit for sure. Sean was rather shocked for a moment to say the thruth.

"Okay, Collins, you're checked out on the smartgun, get it and your harness ready." Quinn said in a calm and low voice. "Kurosaki, what was your marksmanship score back in basic? And don't forget your secondary weapon."

Collins nodded and looked over to the oliv-drab painted cargoboxes. He snapped the locks open on one of the larger canisters and lifted the cover off. A smartgun rested safely in its ergonomically shaped micro-foam cushions. Collins took the specialised harness out of the container and released the straps on the sides, so he could slip into it before tightening it around his waist again. The smartgun would sit on its pneumatic support-arm, alongeside his right tight. Collins lifted the heavy weapon from its container and attached it on the smartgun harness, that relieved him from the majority of the weight. Fluently and with a quiet sum of the supporting pneumatics the long machinegun-type weapon moved in Sean's hands. He fed the gun with a ammo canister... letting the ammunition-counter count up to its full capacity.

[MWNF]

Logan began gearing up with his M41A pulse rifle, M4A3 pistol, and M24 tactical knife. He was ready for the fight ahead. While putting the radio harness on that the Sergeant issued him, he could tell they were made by the lowest bidder. The radio was heavy and the harness‘s straps dug into his shoulders.

Geared up and ready to go, Logan started jogging over to the NE tower to begin setting up the fortifications.



OOC: Sorry for my delay in posting. Been pretty much just been laying in bed the past few days from being sick. Starting to feel a bit better now so I can post more quickly.

As soon as he heard Sergeant Simovic's orders, Heart knelt down infront of his squad, conveying the orders:

"Windrider, you and me are to go to the northeastern tower, apparently. The rest of you to the northwestern one" Heart nodded towards the northwest tower "which would be the one over there. Once there, ask whoever's incharge what to do next. If possible- don't get into the tower itself. It's nothing but a big target. Now get a damned move on!" Conrad barked the last few sentences as he got up from his kneeling position and started to run towards his ordered position.

Nods at Conrad and starts to sprint after him keeping an eye on their six.

Tomala asked, " Heart where you want me at? " Tomala continued to look around as he awaited his squad leader to assign him a position. Tomala wondered how close were the enemy on their position. Tomala looked at Kurosaki he seemed a little bit nervous to be in the the situation. Tomala then said, " Cheer up man its only combat." Tomala then gave him a wide smile.

[Quinn]

Quinn busted towards the building with Sergeant Simovic, bits of dust being kicked up as he did. The green shemagh covered the top of his head, and his face from his nose on down. A set of ballistic goggles covered his eyes, and the helmet completed the set. Upon reaching the building, Quinn quickly assessed the best places to defend the building.

Pulling the shemagh so that his nose and mouth were exposed, he tossed an idea to Dugan. "Hey sarge, I'll stick with Collins and the gun, and you can be with the radio in case something happens."

Hearing Silvanus's orders sent Octavius moving.  Swiftly he retrieved his rifle and as much ammo as he could safely carry and then returned, through the organised chaos of the rest of the platoon,  to where the rest of his squad was.

"I'm ready sir!  Where are we to deploy Corporal Silvanus?" asked Octavius, his intense expression focused on his squad leader.

[Dugan]

Simovic got in cover to one side of the building making sure Kurosaki and the Squad radio were in arms length from him "Yeah sure thing Quinn. If theres any casulties we will need to go in and bring them back so don't wander to far"



"Kurosaki get on the radio and see if Section one's dropship can get us our APC on the ground, make sure he's also ready to receive targets. The pilot is called Carlson".


Simoivc then pulled out his binoculars and started scanning the horizon looking to where the gun fire had been heard.
[Roll Perception]

(O.O.C I am going on holiday for a week from tomorrow, hopefully I won't miss too much action).

While the marines moved out and took defensive formation, Sean was still gearing up on the smartgun. It took more time to set up the heavy weapon and adjust the pneumatic harness. Collins raised the muzzle towards the sky and pressed the gun against his shoulder and side. He rushed outside, carrying an small canister of additional ammunition. Coughting due to the never resting black dust carryied in the weaping winds, Sean looked for his squadleader. "Sarge! Where are you? Where do you want the MG?" While waiting for a response Sean booted the fire-guideance computer on his gun up. He programmed the gun to ignore all marine personal, leaving insurgents and civilians as potencial targets for him to choose from.

[Tag -> Sgt. Dugan or LCpl. Apachetear]

[Kurosaki, Ichigo]

"Kurosaki get on the radio and see if Section one's dropship can get us our APC on the ground, make sure he's also ready to receive targets. The pilot is called Carlson".


(O.O.C I am going on holiday for a week from tomorrow, hopefully I won't miss too much action).

"Roger that" Kurosaki replied. He grabbed the radio and sent a transmission.

"Carlson, this is Private Kurosaki of first section. Sarge wants to put down the APC near the base. Make sure that you are also ready to recieve targets. This looks like a pretty shitty day, over."



Unlike Dugan, Kurosaki kept his head down, just in case there were snipers.

[Jocke]

" Heart where you want me at? "

Conrad heard the man over his radio, and immediately reached to his own "clicker" to reply: "Tomala, are you fucking deaf or just plain stupid? I just told you to get your ass to the northwestern tower! People are waiting, get a goddamn move on!"

 

[Pale Rider]

Bennett looked over at Sergeant Dugan, clicking on the command line with a single clench of his jaw."Belay that order soldier. The LT wants the APCs picked up and the dropships ready to roll. Dugan I also suggest that you not send all your marines up the towers. If the towers go down you are out of men. Send your two best shots up each tower and array your men around the base to defend them should they need to beat a hasty retreat."

Bennett turned back to 2nd Section, he clenched his three times to turn on the channel for Second Section"Alright Marines, the funnel looks great. Grab your weapons from out of the APCs before they get lifted. Get your weapons ready to fire." Bennett raised his binoculars to his eyes and looked out over the desolate plain. "Mungo, get turn on the motion detector and advance one klick outside of the line. When it goes off beat the devil back to the defensive perimeter."

Looking around he noticed his guns were not in placed, "Where in the Sam hill are my Autocannons. Posey, Monks, get those in place and marines remember not to salute anybody or call them out by rank. All you will be doing is painting a target on their forehead."

Reaching down into his left thigh pocket Bennett pulled out a small leather pouch, he pinched off a small section of the dried and processed peaches and slipped it between his lip and teeth.

(Tag 2nd Section, Posey, and Monk. Nick what do I see through the Binocs?)

A few seconds later a tinny, but clear, voice broke through the ether.

"Stalker Niner, Two, Fiver Roger that" The metallic whine from the running turbo fans could be heard in the background as she spoke. "I wan't You guys to set out a beacon at dropsite, tune to fiver-fiver-seven-six-niner. E.T.A 45 minutes, over" she said it with a completely relaxed voice.

[Dugan]

Bennett looked over at Sergeant Dugan, clicking on the command line with a single clench of his jaw."Belay that order soldier. The LT wants the APCs picked up and the dropships ready to roll. Simovic overheard Bennett on the comms chatter, he replied "Bennett I have split my squads an am sending two men each to the NE and NW towers. The rest are staying back in reserve. I heard no such order about the Lt not wanting the APC's deployed.  It was the base's APC's that are being evac'd, so I will press on with trying to get us some support on the ground. Sgt you worry about your own section before trying to command mine, over".



Before Bennett replied Simovic over heard  Kurosaki's radio.

"Stalker Niner, Two, Fiver Roger that" The metallic whine from the running turbo fans could be heard in the background as she spoke. "I wan't You guys to set out a beacon at dropsite, tune to fiver-fiver-seven-six-niner. E.T.A 45 minutes, over" she said it with a completely relaxed voice.

"Thats just fucking great, I guess that rules out any APC support for this firefight. Ask them if their in position to fire any long range missiles at selected targets?"

Tomala had not heard Heart's orders the first time seems like it was stuck up with himself at the time. He heard Heart's orders he began sprinting towards the northwest tower he saw some Marines there waiting for him.
